“Adequate”
The Central Park Hotel is in an excellent location. The lobby is contemporary and bright. The rooms, however are only adequate. The rooms and bathrooms are very small and our room smelled strongly like smoke though it was a non-smoking room. The bed was comfortable with new, clean linens but the rest of the room's decor was outdated and old. Overall this hotel is a good value but visitors should not expect more than adequate rooms.
“Much Better options out there.”
Staying in central London is not cheap, but we were very unhappy with this hotel. It is the worst hotel we've ever stayed in and wasn't worth what we paid. One main problem was the bed. Its hard to enjoy your visit to London when your bed is terrible. I'm not a picky person, but I couldn't sleep in the cheap, old beds provided. I asked hotel staff for help on 2 different occasions and they were no help at all. The "Breakfast" was bread and cereal- no fruit, yogurt, or anything else that might be healthy- unless you want to pay extra. KEEP LOOKING there are 43 better options out there.
“Good value, great location”
Its got the basic necessities in the room which is spacious enough. Its clean, attached bathrooms, the basic minimum that you can expect from 5 star hotel rooms. We didn't use facilities, didn't think it had any, the aircon or heater we didn't use as it was cool in summer. They make up the rooms, clean and safe, we didn't lose anything. Service was perfunctory at the front desk. Concierge had nowhere to keep luggage which was inconvenient, perhaps the only problem. Location is next to Queensway and Bayswater underground which is convenient and across the road from Kensington Gardens. We had direct trains to most places we wanted to go. As well as lots of eating places around. Overall we felt it was good value for money especially in London, in summer. A bit like Comfort Inns in the US.
“You Get What You Pay For”
Situated right by Hyde Park. Not a bad location but if you are staying out late you have to invest in a cab to get home because the tube closes. Originally they told us the breakfast was included but when we went down to eat they tried to charge us. You get what you pay for.
“tiny rooms”
NA
“The Room was small but adequate.”
The room was tiny, but clean. The only thing missing was air conditioning. They gave us a fan which helped. Even though it was June, it really wasn't too hot and we kept the window open.
“I like the hotel and wish to go back”
The hotel was nice and comfort but the street where the hotel located is noisey at the early morning
“Great Location”
Location excellent. Clean. Small rooms, but that is typical of London. Helpful reception staff.
“It was alright...”
OK well I didn't have a bed bug problem so that is a good thing. I love the location. right next to the baywaters and queeensway underground station. I would not reccomend staying there in the summer time or if you are light sleeper. there is no air conditioning and if you have to leave the windows open, there is a lot of commotion on the streets during the night. other than that I treated it like any hotel during a vacation... A clean bed, clean bathroom and place to just sleep and store your luggage. OH yea they don't have a left luggage service so you will have to leave your luggage at the kings cross or westminster underground station if you plan to see stuff before leave.
“Good location, pathetic breakfast”
Good hotel but the gartuit breakfast is pathetic, better not to offer.
