“Good Experience”
I stayed in December. This was my 3rd trip to London but my mother's first. We were both very happy with the hotel. Though it was small (what hotel in the UK isn't?) it was clean, comfortable, and nice. The location was also very good. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
“Started 2010 in London!”
This hotel was absolutely perfect for my stay. It was very conveniently located two blocks from the Tube station. The Tube station had three different lines and so getting around London was very easy. There was a lot to do in the area and it felt extremely safe. The price was very reasonable. The accommodations were small, but just right for what I was looking for. Having a private bathroom was a huge bonus. You don't always get that in small boutique hotels. Also, the daily continental was great!
“Great economy hotel”
This was my 6th visit to London, and the 1st time at this hotel. We had a lovely triple room (two double beds) on the top floor. We enjoyed the view over the rooftops and newly installed airconditioning. The bathroom was also newly remodeled which is a plus in London. The included breakfast was well stocked in a clean and pleasant eating room. I believe they served more food than many similar establishments. The service was friendly and helpful. The location is fabulous, just a block from the tube and many places to eat. Be sure to walk off the main road- many Indian and other restaurants are tucked in on neighboring roads across from the tube station. Of course there is also McDonalds, KFC and Burger King, not to mention Mark and Spencer foods at the end of the block with a great selection of carry out food for the day. The only challenge was no lift to the 4th floor- it only goes to the 3rd, so we had to carry heavy baggage up a narrow, hot stairway to our floor. For the price, I'm not sure you could beat this place.
“Great litle boutique hotel!”
Nothing too fancy, but perfect for what I needed!! My room (a single) was clean and quiet as was the rest of the hotel (aside from hallway rug stains). The buffet breakfast was free and, for a continental, had a bit of everything: hard-boiled eggs, toast, crossaints, cereal, yogurt. The City Continental is a 90-second walk to the Earl's Court tube stop, which made it ideal for getting around. Plus, there's a Marks & Spencer's food store right up the street, not to mention some very nice, inexpensive restaurants in the neighborhood (especially The Little French Restaurant on Hogarth Street). All in all, very pleased and would stay here again!
“A Great Place to Stay in London”
Easy access to Earls Court station (bus & underground). Excellent service from the staff and a very good breakfast. I booked a single and was given a triple complete with a much-welcomed tub in the bath. I was also very impressed that they had not marked up their rates for the World Music Festival held at the Earls Court Theatre. The Marks & Spencer on the corner was a great resource for inexpensive ready-made meals. There are several internet cafes nearby charging about 50p for a half hour. For those of who who expect washcloths in British hotels - get over it and bring your own. They don't have them. This is not a lack of service on their part.
“Good Deal, Great area in Earl's Court”
Stayed first night in London here and booked it again for the rest of my stay. Very clean, tiny rooms but charming. New remodeled clean bathrooms and very helpful staff. GREAT location, right around corner from tube station and high street in Earl's Court. Fun little breakfast too in cozy dining room. Worth it for the price. Would stay here again next time in London and on a budget.
“Excellent hotel for visiting London.”
The hotel is very well maintained and the staff was especially polite and helpful. The hotel is ideally located for trips to London and in a nice area. The rooms appear to have been remodeled recently and the bathrooms are quite new. We stayed one week in the hotel and enjoyed it immensely.
“Excellant hotel”
room was clean, but small. everyone was very helpful and kind. think I will return to this hotel on my next trip to London
“Decent Place”
Breakfast - Same everyday (boiled eggs, toast, some cereal and fruit cocktail) Room - Clean, decent size bathroom, small tub, small TV (4 channels) Staff - Friendly and helpful Location - Excellent, quiet area, tube and food around the corner Comfort - Outside temp was about 75degrees, inside at night was comfty with the fan blowing. It will be hot during the day inside. They are upgrading the hotel for A/C!! Overall - Would stay here again. We only slept here for 7 days. We were out and about all the time.
“Its good but its not 4 stars”
