Really central with great public transportPosted Nov 3, 2014
For a hotel so central to London sites and across from Hyde Park this hotel is great. My husband and 3 year old stayed in an executive family room and we were really impressed with the staff, location and room. For the price we paid we didnt expect the rooms to be as big as they are, this is London after all. We had to ask for a mini fridge and a fuse went in our room leaving us no lights, however this was dealt with swiftly by the helpful, friendly staff. We didnt eat there as it was pretty pricey and there is a lot cheaper nearby.

Close to Hyde Park, tube and busPosted Oct 29, 2014
Pros: We liked its proximity to good bus routes, the tube and Paddington Station(a 10 minute walk) Hyde Park opposite the hotel was a bonus.
Cons: The paintwork in our room was a bit shabby
Location: See above
Room a bit poky(Viceroy on the 9th floor) but reasonable value for London. Breakfast was not included but took breakfast at the Lido cafe in Hyde Park about 5 minutes walk away. The entrance hall was most attractive(as were the windowboxes outside) There were several comfortable seating areas with free newspapers. It was lovely to hear the grand piano being played.

Wonderful hotel just close to Hyde ParkPosted Oct 26, 2014
Pros: Convenient is the key.
Location: It is nearby the tube, Hyde Park and shopping .
You can cross the road to the Hyde Park at any convenient time to enjoy until you drop, go back to the hotel to recharge your energy, then come back again.

Hotel in a good location but disappointing.Posted Oct 23, 2014
Cons: Room layout and improve storage. Premier Inns are better and cheaper.
The Hotel would be Ok for a one night stay. The room size was adequate but with the bed jammed against a wall it caused problems with getting in and out and sleeping. Storage was very poor, with only one self and a small hanging rail and NO drawers, this meant living out of the suitcase. Breakfast was overpriced, luckily there were places locally with better options.

Pay for a double room and get a singe roomPosted Oct 23, 2014
Pros: Nice hotel, nice staff lousy room
Cons: Room size
Location: Yards from Central Line station, London is there for the taking
The hotel is pleasant and wonderfully placed for exploring London with a Central line Underground station just yards away. I honestly thought things couldn't get better till I saw the room. I had paid for a double room but what you actually receive is a single sized room with a double bed shoe horned into it, ineffectual clothes storage and an overall feel of someone trying to squeeze every last penny out of you. The bed whilst comfortable enough is crammed into a corner of the room with the head and one side hard against the wall and the foot of the bed close to the desk provided. Bearing in mind if you are foolish enough to take more than one suitcase that the foot of the bed is the only out of the way storage place other than the top of the safe this can make getting in and out of bed for the partner sleeping nearer the wall nothing short of a full run obstacle course or an exercise in causing your partner maximum disturbance. Make sure you pack your clothes in such a way that they will remain wrinkle free, the limited (8 hangars) amount of storage space is unusable, the mechanisms for holding the hangars are so worn that anything heavier than a very thin shirt is going to end up on the floor. This hotel could have been so much more but trying to bleed every penny from your pocket means that you feel ripped off by the whole experience. The only reason that I haven't marked it lower is that the cleaning staff work so hard to try and maintain your rooms into a livable space

Not bad; London ain't cheap!Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Location; breakfast; friendly, helpful staff.
Location: Excellent location close to a "Tube" stop. Near Hyde Park, Kennsington Palace & Gardens.
Corus Hotel is well-run, good staff. Good location on Bayswater Rd near Lancaster Gate subway stop on the north side of Hyde Park. Breakfast is excellent: I would have paid the "with breakfast" rate if I'd have known how good it was. The bathroom is VERY small, and the shower is TINY, but adequate. You don't go to London to stay in your room!
