Fantastic location

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: Lovely atmosphere, historic building. Warm and friendly.
Cons: More tea, coffee and toiletries.
Location: Perfect central location for shopping and theatres.
I booked this hotel because of its central location, also we had tickets to Cats which is just next door. The hotel needs an upgrade but it is perfectly clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good, buffet style. Only gripe is not enough tea/coffee or toiletries for two people. Two tea bags and one shower gel? Also the maid let herself into our room before we were awake, quite early in the morning!

Quirky gem of a hotel in Soho

Posted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: We loved the design of the entrance, foyer and bar, referencing the history of the building and above all the great staff.
Cons: Bedrooms could be made slightly less corporate - with some of the imaginative design ideas used in rest of hotel.
Location: Explore back streets of Soho with all its independent shops, restaurants and hipsters! Get cheap theatre tickets and go to the late nights at the NPG.
Just opposite Liberty and Carnaby Street the hotel is perfectly positioned for a theatre trip, gallery visits or exploring Soho. Some of the most lovely parts of London are all an easy walk away and there is fantastic shopping on the doorstep from trendy independent shops in Soho to the big stores on Regent Street. The Courthouse is a sympathetic conversion of a historic magistrates court and they have kept the essence of the building in the main restaurant and a great bar complete with cells as private booths. The room felt slightly corporate but was perfectly comfortable with a lovely bathroom and great value as we got a late deal which included a great breakfast. The staff were absolutely charming and really helpful, happily parking our fiesta and taking care of our ancient luggage! Nothing was too much trouble and we would definitely treat ourselves to another stay - hopefully when there is a film on in the private cinema.

Overly expensive.

Posted Jan 13, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Welcoming skills of staff. It needs waking from it's deathly sleep. No character. No warmth.
Location: Shops and theatres close by.
The only reason to use this hotel is it's location. Nothing within the hotel warrants it's cost. The most expensive breakfast ever... Corn flakes, cup of tea and slice of toast £17.50.

Perfect location for anything in the West End

Posted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: Location, cleanliness, very quiet rooms, most comfortable bed ever.
Cons: Quality of breakfast very average. Bathroom was nicely decorated and provided for but fittings were pretty tired with broken shower brackets etc
Location: Couldn't find a better hotel for the main events of central London. Everything is walkable and if you are not a London regular, then the walking bit
Nice hotel in brilliant location, just off Regent Street. Most pleasing was the affordable nightly rate, which seems a rarity in London. Beware of extras though, breakfast was pretty average save the price, which was ridiculous.

Disappointing and unfriendly

Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: location
The staff were neither welcoming nor friendly. I was not helped with my bags and got very little response from concierge with my questions. The breakfast was dreadful,, worst I've ever had, both quality and selection and staff were not at all attentive or interested in guests needs.

Pros: Bra Rum. Saknar dock WIFI.
Cons: Lobyns möbler.
Location: Shopping i oändlighet.
Slitna möbler i entren. Utslitna soffor som snarast bör bytas. Otydligt att frukosten samt wifi EJ ingick. Trevlig personal. Städningen gjordes mycket bra men väldigt sent på dagen.

Breakfast

Posted Dec 12, 2014
Pros: The staff the room was comfortable all though it wasn't easy to get the room temperature right
Cons: May be look at improving the breakfast
Location: Well located ideal for shopping plenty of restaurants and close to the tube for travelling at bit further a field
Was very disappointed with the breakfast the bacon was very fatty and the scrabled egg was luke warm. One of my guests asked for fried eggs and these came over cooked and crispy around the edges.
