Good value accommodation

Posted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, opening window, tea and coffee options, decent bathroom
Cons: For the price, area etc., don't think so.
Location: Very centrally located for all transport links and masses of attractions
Compared with many hotels in this area we thought this hotel offered a better experience. On the hottest day/night of the year we were very happy that we could open the window fully - a rarity. Room and bathroom extremely clean and we liked the window blind (rather than the usual curtains) Liked the handwash and shower cream in the bathroom and a generous supply of little milk containers for tea/coffee rather than the usual 4 that are supplied. Corridors, stairways etc., nicely carpeted and nothing looking worn or dirty. Continental breakfast included (unlike many other places) and was fine. All in all we were very satisfied.

One night twin room stay

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Location, cheap price when booked well in advance.
Cons: Hopeless continental breakfast. How much extra would some bacon, eggs and sausage cost them?
Location: Handy for Paddington station and Hyde Park
A decent enough hotel in an excellent location. I hade a small attic twin room in reasonable condition which was very warm but they supplied a fan so had obviously reacted to previous concerns. I booked 6 months in advance and got the room for £87, good value for 2 in London. Left later and the price spirals so not such good value. The continental breakfast was hopeless. Best make it room only if you can and eat elsewhere, not something I like to do but the food was very poor. I'd stay again when next in the area but would try somewhere else first to see of similar places are better. There are dozens in the area.

Right down the street from Paddington station

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: location
Cons: Be aware the single rooms are small. Upgrade to a double, even if you are alone and want some space.
Location: Paddington station is just a few blocks down the street.
Upscale neighbourhood, clean, helpful staff, but small rooms

The bathroom was sparkling, the breakfast was good. if you are coming from US you will find the rooms "tiny" compared to those in US.

Great location, but some concerns...

Posted Jun 15, 2014
Pros: Found online
Cons: Knowledgeable front desk staff, change up breakfast offerings every 3 days.
Location: 2 blocks from Paddington Station
Location was great! Hotel was OK but some disappointments. Clean room, polite staff at front desk but could not provide answers to most questions asked. Breakfast had plenty of food but the variety never changes so in a 9 day stay was monotonous. Room was on 4th floor even with open windows room was hot for sleeping (June). If you need access to Paddington it is a good choice, or opt for a more expensive hotel on the same block; many hotels in the area.

Room

Posted Jun 10, 2014
Cons: Staff training
Location: GREAT location to Paddington underground and trains about 4 mins on foot. Lots of bars and restaurants 2 mins away
Room VERY clean a bit on the small side for a triple room. Bathroom VERY clean but VERY small couldnt use the toilet without my knees touching the sink. Staff NOT friendly no good morning or hello. Spoke to several staff and not one of them could speak fluent english. Breakfast was good. Hotel was very clean throughout. GREAT location to Paddington underground and trains about 4 mins on foot. Lots of bars and restaurants 2 mins away. Over all great hotel just needs a bit of staff training smiling, greeting lessons and it would be a great little hotel.

Excellent location near Hyde Park

Posted Jun 3, 2014
Pros: Near to public transport and to Hyde Park. Water hot and shower powerful.
Cons: Nothing without expense which would be in the room rate.
Short walk from Paddington Station and easy to find. Quiet, being set back from the road. Friendly staff. Rooms a bit small - our bed was up against a wall.
