Great Hotel! Beautiful Facility!

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Staff were eager to please and very friendly! Went above and beyond to make our stay extra special! Very elegant and well maintained Hotel!
Cons: a choice of a firmer mattress perhaps..... But everything really was wonderful!
Location: lots of historic places to visit within walking distance , many options for food all close by and unique shops all over as well as art exhibits
We stayed 3 nights, 4 days, Valet service was an added nice touch of luxury, however self directed parking was option if that was your preference. The whole facility was beautiful like staying in a real castle, lovely pool and hot tub in a picturesque setting, rooms available with Jacuzzi. Staff were very nice even leaving kind personal notes and chocolates on pillow. As well as 2 glasses of champagne with strawberries dipped in chocolate and a fancy cheese tray in honor of our 20th anniversary. Great place to celebrate special occasions such as an anniversary etc. or a couples getaway.!

All was wonderful but I hated how there were about 5 sheets and only 1 thin duvet on the bed!

Amazing downtown hotel

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Close to everything! Clean, nice, no such thing as a bad stay at the delta. Aced out with sunfest being on in Victoria block which was 3 blocks away. Casinos a 5 minute drive, Budweiser gardens close by. Hotel staff goes above and beyond to meet all needs.

Great location, however room was dated.

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Staff were great.
Cons: Rooms need updating.
Reservation was made but upon arrival room was not available. Upgraded to a suite for free, however, room was outdated. Air conditioner did not work, furniture outdated. Staff were friendly and attempted to make stay as good as possible. Good location for events downtown.

Moderate

Posted Jul 7, 2014
We were there for a wedding, and stay a night on the hotel. Hotel is just moderate no huge complaints expect minor things being broken and inconveniently not working. I would maybe stay here again, but not sure it's worth the price.

Dignity comfort and relaxation

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Cons: Warm the pool and add more color twalls of room. Would have appreciated a few continental breakfast items, eg. muffins, apples. Elevator a bit fast.
Excellent place to stay. Location very central, can walk to many points of interest, lots of great restaurants at hand. Pool/spa/fitness facilities wonderful, though we prefer pool water a notch warmer. Staff exceedingly friendly and helpful. Lobby welcoming, elegant, spacious. Really enjoyed the old walls of the armory. Loved the views from upper floors.

Glad you enjoyed your stay in the historic London Armouries! Our original structure on the street level is from 1905 and offers a unique glance at some very interesting architecture from a century past. We're so proud to share it with travelers choosing Delta as their stop in London. Enjoy the Summer and we hope to see you again soon! Warm Regards, Tyler R Guest Services

/was close enough to what I needed

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Clean
Cons: Air conditioning too cold. Re set the thermostat a little
Location: Location was OK.
First time in London Ont. Front desk and staff throughout very nice and obliging. The only thing was the dining room was very cold and it made it unpleasant to eat there. I had to go elsewhere for dinners to avoid the cold room. Just turn down the air conditioning a little.

Delta Armouries London Ontario

Posted Jul 4, 2014
Pros: Close to highway, parking was easy, free Wi-fi
Cons: When you first walked in the only thing you smelled was chlorine from the pool. Very strong odour.
Location: We were there for business and did not do much. It is downtown, close to many restaurants, the parks and a large shopping mall.
No muss and no fuss. Nice looking on the outside and our room was a basic two queens. We stayed one night and had no problems. Easy to get there from the highway. The staff was friendly and when we called down for a toiletry item it was up in less then 5 minutes. This hotel was recommended to us by a friend that does a great deal of business in London.

Very conveniently located

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: See above, especially the bathroom lighting
Location: See above
I spent a long weekend here and enjoyed the location immensely. I didn't have use the car at all if I didn't want to, as there were lots of restaurants and shops close by. There was an amazing deal that weekend (worked out to less than $100/night) so the general tired-looking state of the room was totally ignored. It was clean and comfortable and spacious, and that was all I needed. The staff, from the front of house to daily cleaners were always polite and helpful and added to the pleasure of the stay. For those guests who are "fussier" than I am, I might suggest the hotel head offices think seriously about beginning some renovations and updates, but for me it was just fine.
