Great location .Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff , hotel decor and cleanliness , comfortable rooms , great location .
Cons: Extra bottles of water in the room for drinking and newspapers in the morning .
Location: Tower of London , tower bridge is walking distance . The london eye , Westminster is a ferry ride away . Tower hill underground station is close.
We booked at the hilton near the Tower of London to celebrate a special occasion. The hotel location is fantastic , with great views of the Tower of London , Thames and the city skyline . We were greeted by friendly and efficient staff and had a wonderful stay . The room was very comfortable and we will definitely recommend the hotel to others .

The hotel was good, however I would not call it a 4 star hotel. We were traveling with friends and the view from all the rooms we have got in the hotel were pretty bad. Otherwise it was functional and I must mention the staff was absolutely outstanding. Breakfast was good, however next time I would not book with breakfast. Local pubs breakfast runs around 5-7 £, so if you are not a big eater it's makes more sense to eat out.

Nice hotel near Tower of LondonPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The location, the staff and everything.
Location: Location is brilliant, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the Shard and the underground station is just round the corner
Love this hotel we have stayed here a few times and loved it. The staff are very good, the cleaniness of the room and all the hotel is very good. We would recommend the DoubleTree hotel to family and friends.

Excellent hotel. Would stay again in heartbeat.Posted Aug 17, 2014
Cons: Server in hotel restaurant was inattentive to our needs.
The hotel was the best I've stayed in in some time. Great location, quiet, clean room and comfortable bed, internet in each room, and with friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend.

Decent place in Central LondonPosted Aug 16, 2014
Cons: Queueing for the lift, unfriendly security staff.
Location: Tower Hill Tube station next door, Head east of Tower Bridge for good boozers and Brick Lane is £6 in a black cab.
Booked two rooms one for me and the other for my friend on expedia, checkin was easy and effortless, we were both given a nice cookie in a bag each which was a nice touch. Annoying that the wait for the lifts wasn't great, we were acosted by a security guard who only let us through when we showed him our room card - clearly feels a bit powerful making people going upstairs to the skybar queue up at his will! Not the best experience for a rate card paying hotel hotel. We did go up to the bar after freshening up in the room, puzzled people were being made up downstairs given there was loads of space in there. Anyway the hotel was nice enough, however after I was ready I called guest services for info on the bar as if it was busy we'd have gone somewhere else. Guest services seems to go directly to a random call centre somewhere and I was told they had no idea and put me through to the bar itself - of course there was no answer and I got an answering machine! Couldn't figure out how to get in touch with the front desk so gave up. Week before this stay I'd been at the interconti and the staff there was all super friendly and helpful, I got greeted by everyone that saw me which was great.

Nice hotelPosted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: Great staff rapport with guests
Cons: More attention by wait staff in restaurant
Location: Near the tube, London Bridge and the Tower of London. Good pubs nearby and shopping a 10 min. walk away.
Our room was clean and spacious and the bed comfy. The staff was friendly and courteous and the view from the rooftop bar was beautiful. However, the service in their restaurant was lacking. Once we gave our order for dinner and our food was served, we had to wait to get our waiter's attention for everything. The breakfast buffet had all one could want. The TV in our room had internet service.

Good location and reasonable pricePosted Aug 12, 2014
Very good location for tourist base. Tower of London very close by and only a 2 minute walk to the tube. Price very good by London standards. Overall very happy with the hotel, and recommend it with few reservations (price of breakfast being one!)

Great location but room not very inspiringPosted Aug 11, 2014
Cons: Room decor and attention to detail
We booked hotel to attend a wedding. There was slight confusion when booking in but staff were great and took us to executive lounge to which we had access over our stay which was really great. The room was a bit disappointing ; magnolia walls and no wow factor. Room was very clean, comfortable and clean bathroom but nothing you'd remember. The location near to the Tower of London is truly excellent. Staff were always helpful but a few things such as spilt coffee near the lifts not mopped up and frayed flex of hairdryer were a shame. Overall good weekend but probably would look elsewhere if looking again.Roof top bar views fantastic.
