Wonderful anniversary w- end stayPosted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: The location and food
Cons: A choice of a bath or a shower would be nice
Location: Just far enough away from the hustle and bustlle, ideal for us as we enjoy walking around exploring, some people may think not close enough to shops
We managed to get a summer special deal in a queen executive room.It was lovely stay in one of the best hilton hotels we have stayed in, it was ideal for us just a 5/10 min walk to many main attractions in Westminster .The hotel is situated in a quiet street just up from Lambeth bridge and has all the expected hilton facilities and more,we were pleasantly surprised to learn we could use the executive room with complimentary drinks(inc-lager& wine in the evening) and snacks. The breakfast was varied and of a high standard, even on a busy bank holiday it was well organised and the staff were friendly and polite. The room was very modern with all the hi tec gear you need,my only personal negative was not having a bath (as I like a soak) I think all the exec. rooms just have showers.I highly recommend and we will be returning in the near future

Excellent staff, but !Posted Aug 26, 2014
This hotel is walking distance to westminster abbey, parliament Big Ben and the London eye. Everything else is really far away. The bed was hard as a rock, and the shower water temperature kept changing and scolded at least 3 times each shower

Check in at snails pace, then fail to make up roomPosted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Location not bad, if you ignore the building sites around it
Cons: Check in, Housekeeping schedules, signage on cupboards, unlocked safes
Location: Westminster, London. And all that has to offer
I stay in one or two hotels per week, and this was the slowest check I process I have encountered in the last 10 years - and that was once I'd reached the desk. The doubletree nonesense cookies distributed at check in don't make up for the exceptionally slow process. The room was clean, but housekeeping failed to make up the room for the second night, and no, we didn't leave a do not disturb sign outside the room. As it was paid for in full in advance, " nothing can be done, but ask for me next time you stay and I will see what I can do " that must be the least likely thing to happen since Elvis was spotted on the moon with Shergar and Lord Lucan

Doubletree Hilton delivered in all aspects.Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Very well maintained modern hotel with helpful staff. One of the young men helped us orient ourselves to the Mac computer in our room. Very handy!!
Cons: It would have been helpful if someone told us of the short cut walk out of the downstairs cafe directly to Milbank Street.
Location: We liked the location because we could walk to Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, bus stops - cabs were always available. A quiet area.
We were very pleased that we upgraded to the Deluxe room that included the use of the Executive Lounge for a full hot and cold breakfast and a selection of newspapers. At 5:30 canapes and wine and beer were also provided. Housekeeping was kind to vacuum out my suitcase as a zip lock of granule soap had opened and it was all over the case. On top of that it was wet because the suitcase had been left out in the rain before the handlers had loaded it into the plane!!!.

Great location, friendly staff - would recommendPosted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: Mac Computer in room - had tv and internet.
Location: Tube is close, shopping is close, lots of pubs and very close to parliament and lots of sites. Within walking distance.
Arrived before check out and a room was available for us - with a view on the construction of condos being built beside the hotel. That was the worst thing I could say about the hotel. The staff were friendly, the computer in the room was a plus and helped with planning the day. The rooms were quiet and the beds were very comfortable.

Relaxing hotel after Prudential Ride LondonPosted Aug 14, 2014
Pros: Modern, accessibility and great rooms
Cons: Nothing apparent.
Location: Nearest tube is Pimlico. Victoria station also not far away. Lambeth Bridge is about 5 minute walk. Good location to walk to Westminster and Palace.
Well located hotel approx 5 minute walk from Lambeth Bridge and not far from Victoria. I had completed a charity bike ride finishing near Buckingham Palace and wanted somewhere central that was easily accessible Very clean and modern facility with comfortable lounge area on first floor. Rooms were large and very impressed with Imac TV/computer..
