Lacking in details

Posted Sep 17, 2014
Arrived late with luggage and trying to push my mother in a wheel chair . Absolutely no assistance from the reception desk although the receptionist had nothing to do. No place in the small room to put your luggage. Armchair dirty so you didn't want to sit in it without sitting on a towel. A lot of little things which I cannot and do not want to recall at the moment that were annoying. Overall I would not go again. At max it was just ok.

Good value for money.

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: Convenience of location
Cons: Leave enough bath towels daily.
Location: Lovely walks around a busy canal. Old world antique shops . A great browsing area with stalls. Antique fashion shops .
Short stay . Good location. We did not eat in the hotel as we were on room only basis. Close to tube . Comfortable clean room only problem was we were left short of a bath towel however this was rectified very quickly . Our family in another room had the same problem. We would book this hotel again.

Good hotel not far from Kings Cross

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: very clean and staff friendly and very helpful.
Cons: morning tea sachets could be more of breakfast tea and not so many flavoured teas.
Location: very close to Kings Cross and so easy to access the West End and other London hotspots
A very good hotel, the staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is not far from Kings Cross and so easy to access London hotspots.

Nice hotel reasonably close to main rail station

Posted Aug 25, 2014
This hotel was quite nice and it had a fridge which is a bonus in UK. Breakfast was very good and included eggs, cereals, sweets, fruit etc. Wifi was available in our room, unlike many others where you need to be in reception.

Good hotel, handy location

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Location and standard of presentation. Quiet even though near road On our departure we were able to leave our luggage at reception and collect later.
Cons: Ongoing building work although this will end soon it appears.
Location: Loads of good bars, coffee shops and close to station. Excellent.
In a good location close to Angel underground station. We only stayed for one night and didn't have breakfast but there are numerous cafes close by at similar prices. Room had coffee and tea and was very clean with comfy bed. Free internet is useful.

Great for a London Break

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Location, spacious, nicely decorated rooms.
Cons: Softer towels and a final housekeeping check.
Location: We love Islington - Hummingbird Bakery, Wagamama, Ottolenghi, restaurants galore!
This hotel is well situated for a short break in London and the location is great for shopping and restaurants in the West End or Islington. We were greeted with a warm welcome and although we had arrived before the 2pm check-in we were able to go to our room straight away. Our room was very nicely decorated, spacious, the furnishings and furniture looked new and the beds were very comfortable. There was one small niggle; unfortunately there were 2 items which had been left behind by a previous guest (a small opened water bottle on the desk and what look a medical item which had been left in the fridge - I handed this into reception), this was a shame as apart from this the room really was very clean. Good value for a London hotel. We would definitely stay again.

Pleasant hotel.

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Pleasant staff, although they need to learn how to address guests professionally.
Cons: The non-professional manner in the way staff address guests. An elongated non-slip surface in the bath.
Location: Not close enough to St. Pancras Station. I won't stay there again.
The professionalism of the staff needs to be improved, although they were at least pleasant and friendly. I slipped over in the bath! They have been trialling a new anti-slip surface for the baths. It didn't work because it doesn't cover enough area of the bath. It should elongated in the shape of the bath.

Comfortable great spot

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: Comfortable. Clean. Convenient location. Value for money. Free newspapers. Lots happening in the area.
Cons: Would have been nice to have an armchair in my room. There was space.
Location: Close to Upper st and Camden Passage. Lots of restaurants and bars within five minutes walk. Many bus routes, Shoredith, Hackney, and in to city.
Close to Angel tube station and the lovely Upper St and Camden Passage this hotel has been recently renovated, with painters still in the corridor. Very comfortable bed and clean, didn't use the dining facilities apart from room service one night. A very convenient spot. Best thing for tube travelers from Heathrow is that there are escalators at Kings Cross to Northern Line and escalators at Angel so no carrying suitcases up any staircases.
