It was a basement room accessed from a small outside stairway. The room was stiflingly hot and tiny.

Not a pleasant stay!
When I arrived to leave my bags prior to check in the lady on reception pretty much barked at me, no customer service whatsoever. When I came back to check in after 3 the front door was locked and after ringing the buzzer for ages another guest phoned reception, just at that the receptionist popped her head up and came to open the door. The condition of the hotel is very poor, dangerous loose carpets, plaster flaking off walls and a grubby room with a mattress which doesn't fit the bed. The noise from the adjacent trainline is unbearable but the room was so small and hot it was impossible to close the windows. The positive for this hotel is that it is right beside Earl's Court tube station and there are lots of good places to eat and drink nearby. I fully expect the most basic of hotels at such a cheap price, however there is no excuse for a hotel to be in such poor condition and for some of their staff to be so rude.

Why did I stay here? Not worth it
Bad hotel; will not stay there again. Noisy next to the trains, incredibly small bathroom, no wifi - I reported it and they said they will look into it but nothing was done ( I stayed there for three days). My room was in the basement and the corridor was filled with laundry bags which were never cleaned. Old towels; no phone in room. The tv did not work well ( poor reception) even though it was supposed to be satellite/cable. Definitely will not stay there again or recommend it to others

Burnt Horribly by a Fire - DO NOT STAY HERE
I cannot understand why this hotel is even available on Expedia. When we arrived it smelled strongly of smoke. Burn marks on the walls. Construction crew members were walking the building like hungry ants on a carcass. Our room had exposed wires on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. Depraved graffiti also lined the walls and bed frame. It looked and smelled like a no-tell Motel. The bathroom was little more than a closet. The floor had gaping holes in the tiles and the shower ceiling had caved in. When confronted, staff didn't apologize and gave no excuses. I told them that there was no way we could stay in such disgusting accommodations. The young woman at reception merely shook her head in acknowledgment. The hotel had been this way for months, not days. We were forced to search for a different place to stay. At such last minute notice, we were eventually forced to stay at a youth hostel.

Hovel
I actually thought it was a mistake and i was not at the right place. Their were workmen on stairs and entrance into my so called room which was outdated, filthy, pipes and wires hanging from different places and a telly that was used in the 1800's. This is a hovel not a hotel. Did make a complaint said there was a fire and they were doing there best, blamed hotels.com for not telling me this.

Terrible is not the word
Somebody will get serIously injured if this so called hotel is not shut down, the street is better and that's not taken lightly, yes it's a budget hotel but so is travel inn and that's like a 10 star compared to this place. My goodness too may things to list, rather say nothing is right, dangerous electrics unclean everywhere, it's supposed to be going through with upgrading some rooms, so this may be there excuse, but sorry it looks like it's been like that for the last 50 years. Pictures of the rooms that were on when I booked can now not be found, very strange, disgusting.

Barely fit for human habitation
This hotel is barely fit for human habitation. I know many people look at these reviews and see young travellers complaining about perfectly good b and b's etc, but I'm a seasoned traveller used to roughing it, and believe me - this hotel is without merit. There is dirt on every surface, rust on pipes, rubbish behind furniture, mold and rust on bathroom ceilings. The drains of the shared bathrooms block easily. TV cables have exposed wiring, and the TV does not work. The wifi does not reach the second floor. The only person on duty is a 20 year old who has no authority to fix or change anything. A shocker beyond all shockers

Worst hotel to stay in and not worth any penny
Well it was a terrible place to stay in. The bed is not comfortable at all, and the noise that is around you is crazy. You can hear the people in the other rooms and when it comes to comfort it is too bad because the bed isnt gd at all and there is a bad smell around and its so hard to sleep because of the smell and the train station so close. With respect to the location it is close enough but not a gd place to stay in general. It was my worst stay ever.

Overall very poor
I booked a non-smoking room. When I entered my room you could smell stale tobacco from the walls and carpet, although the room was clean enough. The male receptionist had a real problem understanding English and asking him a question was like drawing teeth. You could feel the springs from the mattress, which made sleeping in the bed a bit uncomfortable.

Dirty, smelly, moldy, noisy, unfriendly and an over all terrilble hostel experience. You can not sleep here. Too much noise from the tube if you can survive the smell and the unfriendlieness from the personell. They can not help you if you want to change your hotel. You have to pay full prise.

ON TOP OF TUBE TRACKS, this wasn't mentioned and as it's on the circle and district line you will have a tube go by every 3-5 minutes, location is good, great for dumping your bags and leaving for the night it's convenient considering it's next to the station, for budget you can't complain about the room or cleanliness just the constant tubes is tough to bare!!!

Great Location -- only
The cleanliness of this hotel is horrible. Despite I had experience in budget hotel with shared bathrooms, the service provided by this hotel is not up to standard. The bathroom which I should share is very very dirty: it stinks, full of mosquitoes, and no hot water. When I approached to the front desk, what I was told was they were fixing it and I could use other bathrooms. So I've explored 3 more bathrooms and located one of them was having hot water. Luckily I finished it before a long queue. During my searching for bathrooms, no one of the hotel was helping me. This hotel is excellent on the location, but unfortunately it is not a hotel you want to stay.

Cleanliness left a lot to be desired, needs a lot of updating, but what more can you expect in that area of london for so little? Bedding and communal areas were clean, but that is all that was! Staff told me initially that I would be fine parking outside, then a different member of staff told me otherwise!

When I arrived at the hotel around 11:30 PM, the door was locked and I had to walk a block and a half to pick up my key. The key was for a different room from the one listed on my bill. The sheets were stained, towels scattered on the bed, window wide open without a screen. The bathroom on my floor was unfinished. I normally deal well with modest accommodations, but this was overall unacceptable.

Good location for trains to the center. Room was shabby with a sheet as a curtain. Price was good but one night would be enough. If all you need is somewhere to rest up before a journey then Earls court garden is for you. If your on a visit to the capital for a few days find another Hotel with top reviews.

Staff very helpful and gave me ground room. But bed was missing slats, there was a lot of mould in bathroom, and wiring on TV was possibly illegal ( wiring TV and freeview into same plug?!) However, great location and maybe that's all you can expect for that price in London?

Hot water tap was leaking and cold water tap didn't work. The lights in the room didn't work and the room was infested with ants. The hotel is next to Earls Court station so trains were passing by until after midnight and from 5am which were noisy. When I spoke to the owner about the state of the room, he couldn't speak English.

Cheap hotel good location
The hotels in a great location in Earls court a few minutes away from the tube station which is 7 minute journey to Central London. Staff were nice enough but desk wasn't always open so notify them first what time you want to check in/out. Clean room bed sheets and towels but there were ants in the downstairs room and the bathroom wasn't very nice and I wouldn't of used the shower but it was ok as we were only there one night

Awful
Earls Court Gardens Hotel Upon arrival at the pre-booked hotel, I was told by the duty manager that the hotel was full and I did not have a room. This was at 6pm and was left with no options to re-book, etc. The hotel made no attempt to help me and I was left stranded. What are Expedia going to do about this? I look forward to your quick response.

It was a bad experience. We arrived late and we need to walk 500m to another hotel to collect our room key. The room is small, tiny. No space for luggage you can only put them on your bed. The toilet is dirty and small. The room door can break in easily. This is the worst hotel i ever stay in my life.

Not that good
When i saw the pictures i was expecting a nice cheap hotel, but when we arrived even the taxi driver told us "I'm afraid that's your hotel". The room was really small, the tube statiuon is at one side of the room so at 4 am we were to and unable to sleep again. The bed mattress was just springs, it was not worth it at all. They have a better hotel 2 streets away, it's a far better one and we switched to it, we paid a 22l difference per night.

The location was great, fantastic restaurants nearby and minutes walk from the underground station. Lovely hotel around the corner that we got moved to as we complained! But the hotel was vile. we had a mouse run around the room (all captured on video) the carpets were not fitted, it smelt of smoke and leftover pizza. Staff could barely speak english. Mouse traps everywhere and mouse hole filler. Do not recommend.

Train rails are located right behind and the windows are quite thin, so it's hard to get any sleep. Reception closes early and opens late, so if you're planing to check out early in the morning the close-to-a-tube-station advantage is entirely lost, since you have to walk 7 min in the opposite way to another hotel to get your £5 deposit for the keys. Quite cheap though.

This hotel is a good idea if you aren't planning on spending much time in your hotel but need somewhere to store your belongings when visiting London. I wouldn't recommend it for longer than a weekend. It isn't very clean and is very minimal. The room we had in particular was to the back of the building directly above the tube lines - which meant that every 3 minutes you would here the tube go past, with the window open it was VERY loud and even with the window closed it was bordering on unbearable as the windows are single pane and very old. We were visiting London for 3 nights for a festival and were so tired after spending all day at the festival that it didn't interfere with our sleep much on night 2 and by night 3 it didn't bother us at all - we even slept with the window open. The rooms were very hot with no fan/air con which mean you need to choose between heat/noise. To sum up this hotel is relatively cheap and was perfect for what we wanted it for. The only downside was the noise from the tube and the lack of cleanliness in the shared bathroom - It wasn't cleaned properly the whole time we were there - by the end of the weekend the shower drain was blocked and the mould/lime-scale was pretty bad from the start. This hotel is perfect if you are looking for something cheap and your expectations are low.

Don't go there, you'll be sorry.
The trains are 10 ft from your window. That's every 5 to 7 minutes from 5AM to 1:30AM the next morning. That's 3 1/2 hours of sleep. That's not the only problem. No breakfast; everything is falling apart; bed covers spotted and dirty; no lift. No bedside lamp, just an overhead florescent light fixture. The sheets were clean. I didn't see any bugs and the man at the desk was nice. It's was even cheap. $177 for 2 nights. First time I used Cheap of the week. don't they check these places out first?

Terrible bed and constant loud train
The service was fine, but the room was insufferable. We could feel every coil from the box spring in the bed and the room was very hot. We had to keep the windows open to cool it down and the extremely loud trains right next to the hotel went all night long. Usually there is no hot water in the showers and when there is it is scalding.

Stay far far away!
The only positive note about this hotel is its proximity to the Earls Court tube station. It was a short and easy walk to the station and from there you could get wherever you needed. That being said, our hotel experience was atrocious. It smelled moldy the moment you walked in. You do not have your own private bathroom. The room was tiny and DISGUSTING. The tv chord was chewed off by a rat, whom we meet that night while sleeping. I found chewed gum from a previous hotel guest. The bed was small and the mattress sank in one corner....need I say more? Finally, you won't realize this in time to cancel your reservation as cancellation time ends before check in time begins. Do not book this hotel...you have been warned.
