“Great value and location”
Staff were extremely helpful, breakfasts were filling (much more than doughnuts and Danishes served in US), room was small but clean with toiletries, and hotel was close to three underground stations (Euston Square is right below the hotel, not to be confused with Eustan Station two blocks away, and Warren Street is one block away on Tottenham Court Road.
“Not impressed”
The access to the tube was very convenient. There was a station located around the corner and Warren Street Station two blocks away. So if easy access to transportation is what your main goal is, this is the place to stay. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff was very friendly. However, that being said, my first impression of the room was that I had mistakenly booked us in my idea of a hostel. When they say minimalist decor, they aren't kidding. The rooms are small and uninviting. The lighting is dim at best but, to be honest, we found that problem in most of the hotels we stayed in. The carpet in our room needed a good wash and the shower stall was as small as a telephone booth. If you try to wash your face in the sink be careful you don't knock your head on the faucet and get water all over your clothes. Although college students from the nearby university would not mind the room, they probably wouldn't want to spend the money. If you are seeking a pleasant room that you look forward to returning to after a long day of sightseeing, this is not the place for you unless all you want to do is sleep. There are no chairs in the room. I would not book this hotel again and would not recommend it to my friends unless there were no other options available.
“Sufficient”
Not a great hotel. Not a terrible hotel. Convenient to several tube stops. Bed left a bit to be desired. Shower is tiny! Breakfast was pretty good. Overall pretty average for London, unless you want to pay more or spend a lot of time in your room. Neither of which I am interested in while in London. I would much rather enjoy the city and spend my money on shopping.
“would not board my dog”
maintenance was poor staff could not handle a wake up call we were lock in our room the first night for 3 hours , the last day they had a fire in the kitchen . can you say unsafe also the shower was the size of a broom closet
“Wonderful experience”
I would definitely recommend this hotel to all able-bodied people. Not sure about wheelchair accessibility. Steps up from the street to enter, although there may be a ramp for access somewhere on the property. We (myself and 3 grown kids-family vacation) stayed for 6 days/nights. We had 2 rooms, each with two single beds. The service at the desk was helpful and informative. The cleaning service was good. The Continental breakfast is one of the best we've had anywhere. The only drawback was the size of the rooms, but they seem to all be small no matter which hotel you stay in. The second last night of our stay, the bathroom sink actually broke into 2 pieces (weird!) in the room I was sharing with one of my kids, and the front desk called the next morning and asked if we wanted to change rooms. We declined, but it was nice that they offered. (With only 1 more night to go, we didn't want to haul everything we brought to another room/floor. We just used our other room's sink for the night.) The hotel is directly around the corner from the Tube, and only a couple blocks away from a bus station. The British Library is just down trhe street and the British Museum is a few blocks south on the same street. Excellent location and good service. We would definitley recomend this hotel to friends and would return to stay ourselves.
“Modern hotel - ideal location”
Comfortable, clean and modern hotel. Rooms are small by American standards but mine was ideal for 1 person. Excellent location neat tube station and St Pancras for Eurostar. Very nice breakfast served each morning in the dining room. Complementary Wifi worked perfectly. Staff friendly and accommodating. Definitely will return on my next trip to London
“would definitely stay there again!”
nothing fancy, but nice. small, but clean, and updated. great location in the northern central london area. three subway stations close by. if you're visiting london, it's perfect because you're gonna be out most of the time anyway.and it's the nice price!
“Wouldn't recommend this hotel.”
Choice of rooms: "small, but quiet" or "big, but noisy." Small meant miniscule, with no room to put the suitcases once unpacked. Big was what anywhere else would be very small. We chose "big", which was directly on Euston Road and very noisy, but at least could hold 2 people. Closet clothes bar was much too high to reach, bathroom was unbelievably cramped, with a shower that hardly allowed you to bend down to wash feet. TV remote was partly broken, TV went on and off, air conditioner made very strange noises. Restaurant was good, but closed on Sunday evening. Would not recommend this hotel.
“convenient location”
This was in a great location if you are taking trains. It is close to both Euston & St.Pancras. Also,it's very close to the British Library as well as not far from the British Museum. The rooms are small but clean. The breakfast buffet was fine.
“Convenient to Euston Train Station”
Overall this was a good hotel. My only complaint is that I felt like the bed springs were going to come out of the mattress! Considering the price and location I would recommend.
