Old small hotel. The room was very small .Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: The staff was nice.
Cons: All of the above. The cost was an average of 96 pounds per night.
Location: It was close to Hyde and Kensington Park, and was close to the Tube.
There were no chairs in the room. It had a bed made up of two single beds pushed together. The room was about 12X10. The tile on the bathroom floor was broken beside the shower and toilet. The basin was so close to the toilet that you had to slide under the basin to sit on the toilet.

The girl at front was beyond nice. It's cuz of her that it was enjoyable. However guy and breakfast girl were very rude. No air condition and steep stairs made it very uncomfortable

Wot can i say u gt wot u pay for!Posted May 27, 2014
It was not a great hotel, the full breakfast that was included ended being a continental not a full English as thought, n there was only 3tables in dining room rest were outside under canopy we ate round corner 4£4.50! we had 2single beds pushed together, we had to put the bottom sheet on the bed ourselves and the other1 had just bn flung on. The room was tiny but quite clean but the location was superb. n price was cheap so would prob stay there again as it was just a place to put my head for the night!

Nice location, hotel only just okay.Posted May 25, 2014
Pros: Only the location
Cons: Staff should be more friendly and specially more helpful.
Hotel location is good, staff are not very helpful, not very friendly, no one to help two older people take big heavy suitcases upstairs either.

Great location but poor qualityPosted Apr 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
The location is near to Paddington's tube and train station which is very convenient, and nearby shops can easily get you supplies for your trip. The only problem with the hotel is the quality as there are too many stairs to climb to get to our room. The breakfast is plain with just bread, boiled eggs, ham and cheese and drinks but for the value of the hotel what you pay is what you get. Overall would recommend if you're staying for a night or two but not very long!!

Do not stay herePosted Apr 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is hands down the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. We were in room 19. Where to start, the window wouldn't stay open or shut, the room is as small as a closet, the bed felt like we were sleeping on springs, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls everywhere, we couldn't use the safe as it wasn't bolted down and the worst was the bathroom. It was so shall you couldn't even sit on the toilet right as the sink was in the way. Then there was the horrific sewage smell that seemed to be coming from the sink. We had to keep the bathroom door closed at all times with the fan running. Last but not least was the shower, you weren't able to move the shower head up and if you tried the water trickled out so we were forced to shower on our knees. The only positives were the woman at the desk during the day was very nice and the neighborhood is great.

Good on a budgetPosted Apr 6, 2014
Hotel was in a great location and so cheap! The only things that failed them was the apparent 24 hour reception desk. I tried calling 7 times to locate my partner and noone answered!!!! The guy on the desk when I rushed back was just sat messing about with his phone. Also having a luggage storage next to my room meant a lot of banging about on my wall.

Cheap hotel in LondonPosted Mar 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is within walking distance to the Paddington underground station - if you don't mind walking for a bit. It wasn't completely out of reach, but we did it with luggage and it proved to be a bit more of a jaunt than we would have liked with roller bags behind us. The room was very small, with a fitted sheet that didn't actually fit the bed. The blanket over the top was dirty. So dirty in fact that my wife made sure that the sheet was wrapped up over the end of the blanket so she didn't have to touch it. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing to brag about. So far, this hotel has been the low point of an otherwise wonderful tour of the UK. But I must be fair in saying that it was one of the cheapest properties we found, and to us, price is very important. So if you're looking for cheap, this could do you very well. If comfort is more important to you, choose another hotel.

Ideal for a short trip with friendsPosted Feb 13, 2014
Nice location near to Hyde Park in Paddington. Was a bargain for somewhere so close to the city centre. The hotel itself is a bit in need of repair, the corridor and room walls have various marks and the odd hole, hallways are cramped and there are several flights of stairs so not great for long trips with bulky luggage or families with small children. Bathroom was clean, nice fresh sheets/towels and a working tv but was a bit dusty in the main room, the shower was a bit naff as well, hot water worked ok but lacked power. Staff were very friendly and helpful, but oddly you have to have photo id for all guests on arrival and leave keys when you got out: this isn't a problem as there's someone at reception 24/7, I don't know if this is standard practice in London, maybe just the area I was in. Area surprisingly peaceful at night so you can get a good sleep. Recommended for groups on a short trip needing somewhere cheap and comfortable with great service, those on long holidays and/or with kids will probably want someplace a bit more luxurious and spacey.
