This was great for a one night stay to do a concert at the Albert Hall or if you want to do a couple of days of the museums and parks. Clean room and bathroom with everything we needed for a good night sleep. A couple of great local pubs and the usual chains and few independent restaurants around d the tube stations and walkable to the Albert Hall and museums.

The staff were extremely helpful and polite. This hotel is very convenient for the Royal Albert Hall. Room was small but comfortable. A quiet situation.

Lovely looking building from the outside. Staff very helpful and friendly. Very overheated in bedroom and no way of lowering temperature via a thermostat. Rooms could do with a makeover : carpet a bit worn, sink had small chip. Breakfast poor quality and very expensive.

The hotel is in a good location. The twin room we were given was above the lounge and the music from its ceiling speaker was audible in the room at a level which was annoying though not loud. The twin room 116 has an internal step. There is a notice on the room door about minding the step. It is not at head height. There are no further warnings side the room where the step is a few footsteps from the door. It has no visual delineation, in the dark or a moment’s distraction is enough to result in a dangerous situation.

I can’t fault the hotel or staff there friendly and helpful. How ever and I’m sorry to say there were no tea spoons for the tea or coffee also on arrrival we went to our room and the radiator was very loud filling with water having said that thay did fix it before bed time. Over all nice place to stay

The hotel is quaint and the lobby and common areas are nicely done with English flavor. Our room was ready for us ahead of checking time. But the beds were uncomfortable and the room was small and there was hair in the bathtub. Nevertheless, The area is very convenient, near many attractions and the subway station. I would definitely stay there again if they update their mattresses.

Great location, older building but charming. Some of the rooms are very small (we booked 3 rooms). Family room which slept 4 was very large. Communal bar/lounge room was really comfortable. Staff were all very friendly.

We stayed for 3 nights. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel looked nice with all the christmas lights. Our room was clean but extremely small and cramped with very little space to move around. Literally nowhere to hang anything like coats and the tiny wardrobe had 3 hangers and our cases took up quite a bit of the limited floor space. We found the bed comfy and the room was quiet. We were a bit disappointed with the room but the location of the hotel was great for the tube.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the property, chosen for its proximity to the Royal Albert Hall. Reception staff were wonderful and made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and had everything we needed for a nights stay. Location was perfect, within walking distance to Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Hall and Knightsbridge (Harrods). The lounge area was very comfortable - a perfect cosy spot on a winters day. The only slight disappointment was experienced at breakfast. Our waitress (who was lovely) unfortunately took down our order incorrectly (allergy related). When she brought out our food, I noticed straight away mine was incorrect she placed my husbands plate down and took mine away quickly. It was only then we noticed my husband’s order was missing an item. No one was around to tell so, not wanting his food to get cold he started to eat. When we did have opportunity to tell another member of staff (who was wearing a different uniform to the waitresses) he was missing an item, she was aggressive, said that we should have notified our waitress as she brought it to us (we explained we’d not had chance as she took mine away so quickly) and then proceeded to very loudly say ‘What do you want me to do about it? Tell me what you want’ It was all very embarrassing and completely unnecessary - it wasn’t a big issue but she was rude and made us feel so uncomfortable we told her not to worry about it. Everyone and everything else was lovely.

Location was good close to a tube station and some shops and restaurants. Room was clean and good size double bed however did not meet our expectations of a superior room. It was basic with little room around the bed and a very small shower which was difficult to use.

Only one cup, no tea bags, no spoon. Sink plug stuck and could not get out. Apart from that everything else was ok

The hotel was conveniently located for the underground and walking distance to the Albert Hall, which is the main reason I booked it. My only criticism is the room was very small, hardly enough room to squeeze around the bottom of the bed.

My stay was exactly what I had wanted, Quiet but with easy access to the areas in London I needed to get to. The staff was helpful and unobtrusive. My room was comfortable. Of particular note is the assistance I got in retrieving a bag I had forgotten at the property when I checked out. After contacting the property my bag was identified , was shipped to me and I received it within a few days. I will recommend and return to this Hotel.

Hotel was in a quiet neighborhood and very safe. The location was great, a 5 min walk to the Tube (Gloucester) so very convenient. There were a lot of eateries nearby so we really liked that. The hotel needs a facelift since it looked worn and dated. The room was roomy enough with a standard bathroom. The bed was rock hard and very uncomfortable. After a couple of nights, we considered changing hotels. The reception desk staff said all the beds were hard and offered a mattress pillow top. It helped a bit but still uncomfortable. Something I didn’t notice was there was no air conditioning, something to consider if you’re traveling during summer months
