Great LocationPosted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Location was good and the staff were very friendly.
Cons: Outwith the hotel's scope but the dustcart collecting bottles at 6.30am with all the associated noice was a pain.
Location: Next to the British Museum and within walking distance of Trafalgar Square an
Picked this hotel as it was near Covent Garden the area we wanted to be in. In reality it is a bit if a walk from Covent Garden but it is within easy walking distance of Holborn Tube Station and near Russel Square and Bloomsbury Square both of whom have lovely small parks. An older town house type of hotel with smallish rooms however everything it had everything we needed.

Steps from British Museum, but...Posted Aug 13, 2014
Cons: They need to be more up-front about the cost of the breakfast and about the policy for billing meals separately from the hotel.
Older building, quality reasonable for price. Breakfast not included (expected), but what was NOT expected was value for price and how the payment for breakfast was handled. We were not able to simply charge the meal to our room, but were expected to pay separately for the meal - in the hotel dining room just steps from the hotel reception desk. Also, the £17 price per person was charged whether choosing the hot, 'full English' or cold, 'continental' breakfast. Equal or better breakfasts can be found steps from the hotel for half the price.

Great staff, location.Posted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: Staff, location.
Cons: Bath too high, bed too soft
Location: Le Cordon Bleu Cafe in Pied Bull Yard, North Sea Fish Restaurant on Leigh Street, Lord John Russell pub on Marchmont Street, British Museum
The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Nothing was a problem for any of the front desk staff. The location of this hotel is terrific. It is a 15 minute easy walk to Covent Garden and round the corner from the British museum. The double room was small but we knew that going in. The decor of the room and hotel in general felt new and fresh and the room was very clean. Our bath/shower was raised about 6 inches (a built-in bathtub) which meant short legs would not have had an easy time getting in and out. Our bed was also a little soft and smaller than we were used to. Overall, the location and the friendly staff make this place a winner.

Climate control means - open the window!Posted Jul 13, 2014
Cons: Misleading information on website re "climate control"
Room was okay, but particularly stuffy - advertised climate control means you can open the window, but this is not necessarily satisfactory when your room faces a busy street. Felt quite unbalanced upstairs hallways and room floors are warped - waiting for an accident to happen. The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient.

central locationPosted Jun 27, 2014
Pros: The location, the friendly staff and quiet, comfortable room overlooking the garden
Cons: Free wifi, at least in the public areas; a safe in the bedroom
Location: Literally behind the British Museum, easy walk to the Shaftsbury Theatre and Covent Garden
I booked 4 superior twin rooms for a long weekend stay in London with a group of friends. I asked for rooms near to each other and was pleasantly surprised that this had been arranged. I had been allocated a large room which overlooked the garden and also had a seating area which was perfect for relaxing after sightseeing in the city. The other 3 rooms were at the front of the hotel and much smaller. All the staff were exceptionally pleasant and friendly, helping with luggage and offering to take photographs so that our group photos were complete. Although we did not have the breakfast because of the price, we did enjoy teas and coffees in the garden, which was an ideal place to rendez-vous and make plans for our day. The room was spacious, quiet and had a good sized ensuite with bath and overhead shower. The lift was very fast and quiet.

Nice Hotel close to Covent GardenPosted May 15, 2014
Location: it is a 10 minutes walk to the picadilly line which bring you to Heathrow, only a few stairs to walk with your luggage!
the service is grand hotel style but unfortunatly the room need a little attention to be at part with the service. otherwise, we were happily surprised by it and enjoyed the proximity to many sites.

Best Location and Staff was friendly!Posted May 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is centrally located right beside the British Musuem and we were able to use the Underground (Russell Square) to get around everywhere! I recommend buying the multi day travelcard as you are bound to use the undergorund a few times during the day. The hotel staff was above and beyond with answering our numerous questions. Note there are no wash cloths and the rooms are quite small with no dresser, but that didn't deter us from enjoying every minute of it!
