Not client-centric

Unfortunately the cleaners did not service my room, nor advise me until what time they were open. I do believe their to be a privacy issue at the hotel. For it's location it is a good base.

Clean, comfortable, central!

Cons: Elevator. Key return for early check-outs. Overnight clutter in passages.
Really good value in Central London. Good feeling all around.

Transformation taking place!

Posted May 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
We've stayed before & will quite likely stay in the future - it's a lovely little hotel in a very tranquil spot opposite a pretty garden - yet in a central, convenient position. Last time we stayed we got an old-fashioned room with scaffolding on the balcony; this time we got a beautifully modernised room with a nice little balcony overlooking the garden opposite (which would benefit from a higher railing as it wouldn't be safe for a child at all.) However, the hallways have yet to be updated in line with the rooms - so it is rather like stepping out from the 21st century back into the early 20th! Breakfast was generous & served in a very pleasant, light conservatory. The staff were the same as the last time we stayed - which says a lot for their working surroundings - & were as nice as ever. A really nice stay.

Great Design and Value

Posted Apr 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
The rooms are far more stylish than I expect from a 3-star hotel and are very well designed. Especially liked the small touches like USB charging dock and small refrigerator in room. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast room has a glass roof and is in the garden, making for a very nice start to the day. Finally, location is on a beautiful street very concenient to Earl's Court tube station, so lots of good local restaurants and easy access to the rest of the city.

A lovely little hotel

Posted Apr 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
We enjoyed our recent stay at the Henley House Hotel and would definitely stay there again! All the rooms have been recently renovated and updated and were quite nice. They were just starting to renovate the common areas while we were there and the hotel should be very nice when they are done with that. Our room had nice amenities and wasn't as small as many other rooms we've had in London. The bed was very comfortable and the linens were great. The location is great -- we love staying in the Earl's Court neighborhood because of all the shops, cafes, and convenient Tube station. The continental breakfast was perfectly fine-- it included boiled eggs, cereals (including the museli I love), yogurt, pastries, toast (butter and jams), cheese, and fruit (albeit canned), with a full English breakfast available for additional cost. Wifi is free. It's on a quiet side street, across from a lovely garden, but just a block from the main street with shops, cafes, and the Tube station. We paid a lot more for a similarly situated Best Western hotel at Earl's Court and much prefer the Henley House.

Close to being great!

Great location, being renovated.....room was modern and comfortable, once public areas are improved it will be a great hotel. No staff on the desk overnight, left at 7AM to catch a flight and they didn't open until 7:45.....not good! Breakfast was pretty basic, could do better.
