Staying for one last night before leaving via Heathrow - the room was surprisingly spacious and modern compared to some other hotels in the same area.

Dreckiger Queens Room mit alten fleckigen Möbeln

Posted Jun 12, 2015

Nice hotel close to everything

Posted Jun 11, 2015
Nice hotel close to two tube stations, so was very convenient. Very comfortable beds. Not sure about 'value for money'. Bathroom needs a bit more attention to detail. They don't have a proper bar, it's a small setup in the corner of what they call their restaurant. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special.

Need work in general, old building, staff friendly in general but even getting a hairdryer needs 4 phone calls and 30 minutes

Hotel opposite Hyde Park

Posted May 31, 2015
Good central hotel, though worth noting you cannot access central line at Tottenham Court Road until late autumn. Had a lovely walk through Hyde Park to the Natural History Museum as park across the road from hotel. A shame we visited whilst bar and restaurant being refurbished as meals served in a room on lower floor with no natural light. Having said this breakfast wasvvery good with plenty of choice.

` Not the Room I Booked`

Posted May 24, 2015
Pros: The location. The Building.
Cons: Booking system Car parking facility
Location: Near to Hyde park, the Royal Albert Hall.
On the 17 January I booked a `Queen Deluxe ` Double room, on arrival at the Hotel we were given a small `twin` room. Shortly after entering the room the receptionist called the room and asked if everything was OK, I told her I think we have been given the wrong room as I asked for a `double` on the booking, she told me that normally she would move us to a double room if we were not happy with a `twin` but that I had booked a `twin` room in my original booking. On checking my Expedia Itinerary it confirmed I had booked a `Queen Deluxe` double room. I took my tablet down to reception and showed the original booking to the receptionist, she looked at it and offered me complimentary breakfasts for 2 and a bottle of red wine which turned out to be a half bottle. The room we were given had not been prepared properly prior to our arrival as shortly after unpacking a hotel worker knocked on the door and handed me a Hilton Hotels bath robe to add to the single one in the wardrobe, also in the bathroom there was only an almost finished toilet roll and no spares.

Altes Hotel, nie und nimmer 4 Sterne verdient.. Einzig die Lage vom Hotel ist positiv..
