Nice hotel but sofa bed not made up....

Posted Sep 14, 2014
Enjoyed my stay here but requested twin room got a double. Asked for sofa to be made up. Asked twice, still no joy. In end had duvet dropped off with 8 pillow cases and not sheet. Just climbed into sheet less bed. Too tired to complain :(

Well located

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Everything was great, room was fine. The only thing that was so annoying was the noise coming from doors when they are closed, they are forcefully shut by themselves and that woke me up every single day. I used earplugs in the morning. I couldn't sleep from 7 am to 11 am.

Perfect location - across from Hyde Park

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: The room was very clean. We loved the location - Hyde Park, Portobello Market, Embassy homes on the same street. Couldn't be better.
Cons: The wi-fi should be free like other hotels and it needs to be improved.
Location: Oh my….the location is awesome. The Central Line tube is right beside the entrance. Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, Embassy homes across the street.
The hotel was clean and location was fantastic. However this was the only hotel that we stayed in that did not have free wifi. Every other hotel (Berlin, Munich, Paris and London the Double Tree by Hilton) had free wifi and great wifi that worked. This Hilton we had to pay for each day and on top of that the wifi kept cutting out. When one depends on wifi to stay in contact with family back home it was disappointing especially at the price we paid for the room. The breakfast (at an extra cost) was very good. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We did have a fire alarm one night which was our first time ever…..the staff were helpful and told us where to wait until we were allowed back into the room. The next morning there was a letter under our door thanking us and apologizing for the inconvenience. Hey I am just thankful the alarm worked - nothing to apologize for. Other than the wifi - everything was good.

Dear Guest, Thank you for the kind feedback you provided regarding the service you received during your stay with us. I am glad to see you had an enjoyable stay with us and found our team friendly. However, I was sorry that the pay service for internet was not to your liking. We do provide free internet in all public areas in the hotel and also to our Gold and Diamond Hilton Honors members but charge when the service is used in the bedrooms. We very much hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel. Kind Regards, Harun Dagli Hotel Manager

Family weekend trip

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: Near the tube station, decent rate for the standard of hotel
Cons: Bigger lift or more lifts
Location: Next to the tube
Whilst the hotel is a little further out of the West End it was good value for money. It is situated right next door to Queensway tube station which was ideal. The breakfast was decent and had a wide range of continental foods. We did not use the bar. The lift was very small, it says it takes 8 person......children or small people possibly but not 8 adults. The room we had was clean and newly decorated, it was small but that's expected in London in this price range

Nice hotel.

Posted Jul 30, 2014
The hotel is near the tube (metro). at around 30 seconds actually. :) From there you can reach in matter of minutes all tourist attractions. Excellent for both business and pleasure travel. Room was clean. Maybe a bit to small...but who stays in the room in London? No problem sleeping in it. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was pleasing. Restaurants and pubs nearby. Would recomand

Conveniently placed hotel

Posted Jul 29, 2014
Pros: Good air conditioning in our bedroom
Cons: Bar area. Bad lighting. Dismal atmosphere. Worn furniture.
Location: Bayswater tube station. Lots of restaurants and Park opposite.
Disappointing hotel. Bar area was very run down. Arms of chairs in bar beginning to fray. Very depressing brown coloured furniture. It was not a place to sit with friends and have a pleasant evening drink before going out to dinner.Place felt deeply unloved and in need of attention. Only one computer at lobby desk working. other "out of order" so guests had to wait for a long time to check in. On the plus side, the room was clean, modern and the air conditioning was in good working order. This was necessary as the temperature outside was 28 degrees. Breakfast was OK but the staff were glum. Had to ask several times for milk for the coffee. Maybe it was just our waitress having a bad day !!!! Just felt that the whole place was dismal, dull and in need of a makeover.

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us at the Hilton London Hyde Park. While I was happy to hear that you found your room clean and modern, I was disappointed by the shortfall in service standards that you experienced during your stay. Unfortunately, we had a technical issue with one of the computers at Reception desk on your arrival day which was sort it on the same day. Regarding Bar area, I am sorry to hear that it was not to your liking. I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that we are in the process of completing a full refurbishment in the hotel; having already completed 50% of it, and our Restaurant and bar area is part of it. I do hope that you will afford us the opportunity to welcome you back in the future, so that you may experience firsthand the changes we are continually making. Kind Regards, Harun Dagli Hotel Manager
