Great place for a base to explore LondonPosted Apr 10, 2014
Location: Nothing particularly close by, but everything is done via underground anyway. Mall nearby, local restaurants, and a subway in either direction.
Good access to underground with short walk. Good accomodation of family needs with multiple beds per room. This is not always easy in London but they did it well, with notice. Concierge staff was very helpful in getting us connected with tours, restaurants, buses, taxis, and underground as needed. We br out one North American adapter for electricity, they loaned us another. I whole-heartedly recommend the Kensington Hilton.

Nice room and extremely helpful staff.Posted Mar 22, 2014
Pros: Helpful staff
Cons: Free wi-fi
Location: Westfield mall
I thought the hotel was great except for the fact you have to pay to use wi-fi.

Central London hotelPosted Mar 22, 2014
Pros: Situation, facilities, price.
Cons: Outside appearance a bit characterless for Holland Park
Location: Walking around & imagining being rich enough to live there was entertainment for us! Holland Park Gardens with the Japanese Garden was v pleasant.
We were looking for a hotel in a nice part of London reasonably close to Wembley Arena for a show on a Sunday evening but to be close to central London for things to do the following day. Found the Kensington Hilton through Expedia which sounded good value for money. Decided to book just room without breakfast as guessed there would be plenty of cafes nearby, which there were; had a lovely breakfast while watching the world go by (or going off to work while we had a rare day off!) on the Monday morning. All staff at hotel were friendly, polite and helpful, bed was v comfortable and room was quiet despite being on busy road.

Nice Clean HotelPosted Mar 22, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness and helpful staff
Cons: Bed height and mattress comfort
Location: Close to the Shepherd`s bush Empire and the Westfield Shopping center.
I always try to stay at a Hilton whilst in London, but this was the first time at the Hilton in Shepherd`s bush. As usual helpful staff, very clean etc but not thrilled with the height of my bed and hardness of the mattress. Also an obligatory charge from my debit card which I had not had to do in any of the other Hilton`s used.

Great hotel close to Westfield and TubePosted Feb 24, 2014
Got the central line to Shepherds Bush and from there it was a 5 minute walk. I was very early (9am) so they let me leave my luggage whilst I went into London, I returned around 1.30 where I was checked in early. The man who checked me in was very nice and helpful and warned me of the pick pockets. I already knew to be especially careful of my belongings however it was nice if him to show an interest and warn me. I had a single room and it was the perfect size. The bed was between a single and a double so was great. Ample wardrobe space and a decent hair dryer (makes a change from most hotels). Bathroom was very nice. It didn't have a bath, only a shower. This doesn't make the slightest but if a difference to me but might bother some. Room was clean and bright with a nice view. The location of the hotel is great and the hotel it's self was very nice and quiet. Will defiantly be back.

Excellent HotelPosted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: Everything! We have stayed there before.
Cons: From our point of view, nothing!
Location: the ease of using buses and coaches, particularly to using the 148 bus to get to Westminster and Greenwich (via the boat cruise) and the Oxford coach
We booked an extra two days at the front end of our one day/night reservation due to the impending tube strike so that we could get through London after several days of visiting friends in Derbyshire. The concierge (Australian? South Africa? New Zealand?) was extremely helpful in showing us the ease of using buses and coaches, particularly to using the 148 bus to get to Westminster and Greenwich (via the boat cruise) and the Oxford Tube to get up to the universities in Oxford City. Both stop just in front of the hotel. Of course, many other services were also provided by the hotel, plus its positioning so near the Sheperd's Bush transportation center, Westfield Shopping Center that contains everything from very high brand shops and stores as well as news agents, a fine Waitrose, restaurants of nearly every type of world cuisines as well as every level of eatery, nearby Holland Park and the revitatlized Notting Hill area make this hotel an excellent choice for several days in the greater London area.

Nothing specialPosted Feb 17, 2014
Having paid more money than i usually would of for a hotel room i was expecting alot more than i actually discovered. The money you pay is more for the name and location, although there is nothing special about Kensington. The room was small, not much space at all. The bathroom was even smaller! you couldn't even walk around, it's crammed. The hotel staff were pleasant and friendly. Probably the only good thing about the hotel. The closest tube and train station is Shepards Bush

Convenient locationPosted Feb 10, 2014
Pros: Location was good for us, close to Westfield shopping centre and Notting Hill, bus stops to city right outside the hotel
Cons: Bathroom in need of work, air con ineffective.
Location: Westfield shopping centre, 30minute walk to Earl's Court
We arrived earlier than expected and tried to check in early, a very pleasant young lady organised a nice room for us but even thigh she tried to get us in to the room early it was not possible. Unfortunately when we came back at 3 pm check in time our room was still not ready and we had to accept a different room, not the 6th floor room promised. The room was ok, nice size and comfortable, bathroom with bath very tired and badly in need of a make over, tap broken and shower curtains a bit tatty. Air conditioning very inefficient and in general the room was too warm for our taste and we had the window open for most of our stay. Breakfast was good on both days with plenty of choice and efficient and friendly staff, rather busy on Sunday morning but most food items available. Check out was god very friendly and helpfull.

DisappointedPosted Jan 29, 2014
Expensive breakfast, car park, asking for money on every step. 15 pounds for internet per a day and I pay at home 12£for a whole month. Ridiculous! Bathroom very small, cold rooms, not good gym, the only plus was very nice staff.
