Glad we didn't pay full price!

Pros: The lobby and bars etc downstairs were nicely decorated and had a warm atmosphere. Some of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Some staff had poor customer service skills. Better system needed for if the computers fail. Rooms need updating.
Location: Very close to Edgeware Road tube station so good for getting around London and easy to find.
The computer system was down when we arrived and the back up process was incredibly slow, we waited well over an hour to be given a room which meant we missed out on a significant amount of time at the event we were there to go to. Some staff were being helpful and explaining the problem and how long it was likely to take but the receptionist who dealt with us took our details and disappeared for a long time with no explanation. The hotel was offering crisps and free fruit juice to those queuing but the staff handing them out were inattentive and made no attempt to collect empty dishes/glasses leaving us to carry them along with our luggage. The room was tiny and we had been given a twin when we had booked a double although given the queues at reception we decided not to try and change it. The window had very dated secondary glazing fitted which was difficult to open and the air conditioning was unfortunately too noisy to have on over night. The room was clean but felt a bit tatty and old, have had much nicer rooms at Premier Inns etc.

Tired - wouldn't want to pay full price.

Got this via expedia secret saver - at £87.00 a night I think it is well priced, but I would have felt ripped off if I'd paid the going rate of £200.00 plus. The rooms are fine but old - still smell of smoke. Lots of old school hotel unwelcome-ness, eg a minibar with forbidding signs, insistence on taking a deposit. Feels like a hotel from the seventies, basically. It's very handy for Paddington, and there are 24 hour shops down Edgware Road - handy if you've forgotten anything.

Friendly staff. Great location.

Pros: Room with a view.
Cons: Cleanliness of changing rooms in fitness centre
Location: Lots of restaurants and cafes around hotel, and an easy walk to Oxford Street, Hyde Park and Mayfair.
Very friendly staff. We were upgraded at check in to a room with a fabulous view over London. Very central location made it easy to walk everywhere.

Brilliant

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: The location, although there was really nothing to dislike.
Cons: Knowing about the left luggage service. I lugged my bag all around London before checking in.
Location: Right next to both edgware stations, this is an ideal hotel for those who want to explore London. Just get a day pass and explore. Just a short walk f
Extremely friendly staff, great food, comfy beds, fast check in/out, centrally located right next to the tube station, clean ... And the night duty manager organised me extra towels which were in my room before I made it there (3 minutes). An amazing hotel, made even better when booked with money off.

Goof, Bad and Indifferent

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Evening Dinner. Full stop
Cons: Presentation of breakfast. Work space in the bedroom
Location: Not a lot locally
This hotel is all front, the reception are and bars are very good indeed but then you travel to your room and it all unravels. The room is small and cramped. The bathroom is even worse. The work area has no power points unless you unplug other things, including the reading light. The room, though was very clean and the staff were very good. Breakfast is a disaster. It was more like a kindergarten than a quality breakfast room. The food was of a similar standard . What a contrast for dinner, exceptional staff, brilliant choices on the menu and the quality was very good. Wine list is good but very expensive. London hotels, in general, are expensive but this one just not worthy of its high price.
