Comfortable well equipped hotelPosted Nov 19, 2013
Pros: The park setting, the bed, the size of the room, the staff and the breakfast.
Cons: The tea and biscuits in the room
This was a generally very good experience in the the room was large and well equipped with a very comfortable bed. The staff were pleasant and competent and the buffet breakfast was very good. The room was showing a few signs of wear and tear eg some marks on the bathroom floor and a cap missing from the washbasin tap. The main negative which really struck me was how meanly stocked the in room tea tray was. There were very few tea bags, no biscuits and exactly four tiny potions of processed milk which is not quite enough for two cups of tea each. It just looked like the most stringent of cost cutting which considering the standard of the hotel otherwise and the price of the rooms sat very badly with the rest. whatever it saves to do this, it really isn't worth it for the poor impression it creates.

What a anti climax!!Posted Oct 25, 2013
Booked a room at the well known Hilton hotel in Syon park to stay in London to watch the Lion King. We wee deeply let down by the receptionist when she failed to order a taxi for us when asked and this resulted in my wife and I missing the show because we were late. This is poor service for a hotel of such a profound brand as the Hilton. Away from the error which resulted in us wasting so much money I can't fault the hotel room for quality, comfort and luxury.

Good quality, and a bit "out of the way"Posted Oct 18, 2013
Cons: Access from the main road - when the park gates are locked, pedestrian access is a long way round.
Location: If you're happy with experimenting with and mixing/matching your public transport you can use as a base, else the direct routes aren't that convenient
Was only staying overnight during a work trip and found a great late deal on Expedia. A bit more luxurious than what one usually gets on such trips, so it was welcome to walk in to a spacious reception, well-appointed room and have the facilities of a swimming pool, etc.. There's a large bar on the ground floor, which I didn't use, and the Clubhouse restaurant upstairs had a reasonable choice at not too great a price. Having arrived at about 8pm, and having time for a quick swim, the Clubhouse was convenient and welcome. Walking down the corridors, which occasionally emit strange recorded noises, and are arranged around courtyards with pools in the centre, which are lit at night, giving it a pleasant ambience. Oh, and the showers have "Tile Vision" TVs - a first for me! Breakfast looked a touch pricey, so avoided this. Buses run regularly along the main road (A315) with a stop outside the park/hotel entrance, which take you to District or Piccadilly lines in a few minutes, and Syon Road main line station is less than 10 mins walk. Entrance by foot was from the A315 through Syon Park - a 2-3 min short walk was a bit nervy in the dark and little signage identifies the hotel until you're right at the door.

Excellent hotel. Beautifully decorated roomsPosted Oct 7, 2013
My wife and I booked in for a short getaway. We had some spa treatments which were excellent and had a relaxing time around the pool. The hotel bar and restaurant are very stylish and we had a lovely dinner. The hotel room was very well decorated and comfortable. We will definitely be going back again

Pros: Comfy bed. Great shower. Nice location.
Only stayed the one night. Room was very nice, and shower was excellent. Didn't realise it wasn't near a tube station but the buses were easy to get and very regular.

Very poor qualityPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: The location was very nice, with the exception of the Heathrow flight path being directly above. The staff were great, especially the F&B staff.
Cons: Air conditioning, plumbing, a bathrobe or 2 wouldnt hurt. Better coffee/tea facilities.
Location: Nice location, close to Kew Gardens, Syon Park is very nice. Easy access to central London.
The air conditioning was poor to say the least. When a room service waiter came to the room, he asked if we "had the heat on". Twice we asked for it to be repaired. One staff member came up and played with the thermostat for a bit, while we were eating in our room, and informed us it was working. During the night, we had to go out on to the balcony because it was almost 26degrees in the room with the air conditioning on. The secind time, we were assured it was working (they had the entire day to fix it) and there was no change. It did NOT cool the room. The sink in the bathroom would fill but not drain for an hour or so. We were assured that this would be fixed as well. When leaving on out last day, the sink was full and the stopper had been removed. the sink stayed that way unti after we had departed. The shower leaked profusely and we spent the first half hour cleaning up after a shower. The first night, rather than a different room, we were supplied with additional towels. The second day, the shower was fixed.
