Great London Weekend Break

Posted Dec 5, 2014
Pros: Great base for a London weekend break.
Cons: Bathroom facilities not up to Hilton standards.
Location: See comments above
This hotel is in an excellent location near Tower Bridge and a five minute walk to the Tube station. City Hall and HMS Belfast are just around the corner and the Shard a couple of minutes walk away. Southwark Cathedral and the Borough Market are also in the immediate vicinity. There are plenty of good restaurants and cafes in the area so no need to eat in the hotel which is pricey to say the least. The desk staff were very friendly and efficient. We arrived at 10 am and were able to check in and get our rooms right away. Our double room 409 was spotlessly clean and well serviced throughout our weekend stay. The bathroom, although spacious enough had a leaky shower door and a basin with a broken plughole which is not a great reflection on the Hilton name. However we didn't complain as it would only take up precious time. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great base for a London city break.

Nice Place

Posted Dec 1, 2014
The old downside was that there was not a fully enclosed shower stall. There was a tub with a kind-of half shower door. It made for a bit of a mess it the bathroom, water everywhere!

Girls weekend away

Posted Nov 28, 2014
Me and the girls went to London for the weekend, Christmas shopping and cocktails. We took a cab to the hotel which was around 5-7minutes drive away and cost £15. The hotel was brilliant, fantastic location, 2 minutes walk from tower bridge tube station and cafés on the door step- ideal for breakfast! The room was all we needed and more, tea, coffee to robes and slippers. Even a complimentary small bottle of red. Very comfortable bed, and clean all round. The lobby/reception area was very functional, with helpful staff including concierge service which was excellent. Would recommend.

Pros: Everything
We usually stay here when we visit London. We love the location, close to Tower Bridge, and some of the restaurants we like. This stay was as good as always, great rooms and facilities. We will return

Tidlig indtjekning

Posted Nov 12, 2014
