Great service, reasonable price, close to tubePosted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: Staff (front desk, housekeeping, breakfast area) were very courteous. Location.
Cons: Seating at the elevator - groups of students tended to congregate right in front of the elevators, making it difficult to get on the lift.
Location: A tube stop, many food options and a market were nearby. The Spitalfields Market was a short walk from the hotel.
The staff was friendly and efficient - we were able to check-in early which was really nice to be able to freshen up after a long flight. The tube stop was a short walk away and the station was easy to navigate. Many food options and a market were nearby. We had a pull-out couch for our child and it would have been nice to be able to fold it up for more room (a sign on the underside indicated only housekeeping was allowed to do that). The dining area at breakfast did tend to be crowded, but the staff worked to get tables cleaned. Arrive earlier - there will be plenty of seats. Our room was tidy and quiet.

Good value hotel close to Central LondonPosted Apr 14, 2014
The hotel was good value compared to others in London. Stayed with my family of 4 in a family room. Breakfast was great and always 3 hot options as well as continental choices. Staff were friendly and helpful. The no 243 bus ran from the hotel 24 hours a day to Central London just over 2 miles away. Only small complainy -- the sofa bed had a paper thin mattress and was very uncomfortable.

Clean but tightPosted Apr 11, 2014
Pros: The towels were large and fluffy and the breakfast had a nice selection and plenty fresh fruit. It was only 2 blocks from the Tube, which was helpful
Cons: Information regarding a room for 4 people, whether they're children or not.
Location: The hotel is not in the central part of London, but close to a Tube station, so easy to get around. Excellent restaurants only 2 blocks away.
We had booked a room for 2 double beds and ended up with 1 double bed and a pull-out sofa. The sofa mattress was so thin, we felt every little spring. Not what we expected at all. When I asked the front desk, they said that they didn't have any other option for us. Otherwise, the room and bathroom were clean and the free breakfast had a nice selection.

Good for tourists who don't happen to be wealthyPosted Apr 7, 2014
London is expensive, so this hotel is relatively a good deal for what you get. A pretty robust included breakfast adds to the value. Stayed here with my family to see London; having a tube stop (Old St) 5min away was key. Enjoyed the kebab shop around the corner and the Turlish barber across the street.

Lovely modern hotel in a great locationPosted Mar 16, 2014
Pros: Comfy, quiet rooms
Cons: Breakfast - please include bacon!
Location: Trendy bars in Hoxton Square
Lovely modern hotel, right by trendy Shoreditch and Hoxton Square, and round the corner from Old Street Tube Station and the whole of London within easy reach. Superb, friendly staff, and an extremely comfortable room, quiet despite the lively area surrounding it. Breakfast is simple but functional, and a nice addition. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel close to the Underground stationPosted Mar 12, 2014
Pros: The location and the room
Cons: breakfast. Could you make the croissant/crowns less crunchy?
Location: Within 10 mins walking distance there's lots of take away and restaurants.
Hotel: Excellent location, just less than 10mins walk to the Old Street Underground station of Northern Line. Breakfast: not so good, the croissant is way too crunchy, the coffee machine did make some nice coffee though.
