Close to St PancrasPosted Apr 14, 2014
Location: shops, restaurants and pubs
This hotel was in a great location and surprisingly quiet. I found the bed to be very comfortable but through the room was a little small, but I suppose it was central London.

Small hotel centrally located.Posted Apr 12, 2014
Pros: The location was central.
Cons: It was expensive and disappointing for a Holiday Inn and the rooms were small, boring, and we would not return.
Location: The British Museum, many restaurants and shops.
We found the hotel easily. We were disappointed as the room was very basic, smaller than expected and the view was awful.

Nice location but not true value for money.Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Great location to tube station, Russell Square, from which you can get most places. British Museum also close by.
Cons: Free wifi, lower process in restaurant and the rooms could do with a refresh.
Location: British Museum, Dominion Theatre, British Library.
Arrived at the hotel early and left bags. Arrived at 14:30 to check-in and 1 room was not ready. Waited an hour for this to be made ready. Then the water failed and was down for a few hours. Wifi is a cash cow for the Holiday Inn so don't expect to get free wifi, even in the lobby. Time Holiday Inn made this free given the price of the rooms. Breakfast is good and there is plenty to eat. Although think carefully if you want to eat at the hotel for dinner - it is a bit pricey compared to local restaurants in the area, especially the local shopping centre across the road. The rooms look a bit tired.....

Nice stayPosted Apr 3, 2014
Cons: Hotel should have more electricity converts for international travlers. I waited for a day to get one.
The staff was very friendly. The room is clean and well equipped. But there is no supply of ice.

Great location and convenientPosted Mar 18, 2014
Couldn't ask for a nicer, more helpful staff. Food choice and quality was excellent. Recommendations for dining and assistance by the awesome concierge staff were outstanding. My family would stay there again, definitely!!

Modern hotel in a great locationPosted Mar 3, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, good breakfast.
Cons: Size of rooms.
Location: Minutes from tube, but also not too far to walk to Shaftesbury Ave or Leicester Square.
Check in was easy & the staff very friendly, explaining all we needed to know. The room was very clean, although a little small & there wasn't much room the one side of the bed to move around. The bed was comfortable & the room was warm but not stifling, good black out curtains too. There was the usual tea & coffee making facilities. Plenty of hangers in the wardrobe for a short stay. There was a hair drier but no where to plug it to look in the mirror at the same time. The bathroom was also small but had a great hot powerful shower & clean towels. We had booked the room to include breakfast. Again the staff were very friendly & told us what we needed to know. There was plenty of selection for of everything, the strawberry & banana smoothie was very tasty. There was a chef cooking fried eggs & keeping an eye on the cooked food. We both selected a hash brown although they did look very pale & on cutting into it found it was cold & uncooked, but everything else was great. As the waitress cleared my plate I informed her about the hash brown, she apologised went away & came back to tell me she had informed the kitchen, very impressed as from past experience of other places when you point something like this the message is not passed on. We both left knowing we wouldn't need lunch! We were able to leave our bags, free of charge so as we could spend the day sight seeing. With the hotel only a few minutes from the tube it's a great location to travel to & from.

NOT 4 star qualityPosted Mar 2, 2014
Big disappointment. I've stayed in travelodges better than this. A poky room. Old fashioned and tiny bathroom. The toilet paper was pound-shop quality. The TV channels were extremely limited. Not even any complimentary biscuits! I could have got twice the quality for half the cost elsewhere. Worst of all they make you pay for wifi. Who still charges for wifi? Supposedly 4 star. I regularly stay in hotels, 4 star and otherwise in London and other major cities and this was a rip off.
