Great location in the heart of downtown London!

Posted Jul 14, 2014
This hotel was in a great location for a quick 3 day stopover tour of the main attractions - changing of the guard, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square and the theatre district are all within walking distance. Quick train ride from Heathrow to the station across the street from the hotel and another back to Gatwick. Great system. We arrived early in the morning before the official check in time, but Francisco was able to get us a room and include breakfast buffet at a very reasonable cost. This gave us a base and really an extra day with a nap after an overnight flight. Thank you guys. It couldn't have been better.

Pros: Location and ability to accommodate 3 adults.
Cons: Free Wi-Fi would be a HUGE improvement. We went to off-site restaurants for free Wi-Fi which meant hotel lost out on our food business.
Location: Within 1 block of a tube station. Could easily walk to plenty of shops and restaurants as well as Buckingham Palace and St. James' Park.
The hotel is in an excellent location and easily accommodated 3 adults. The hotel is older but it had A/C and the staff were helpful and pleasant. Great value for the price.

Great location 1 block from tube station

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Great location. Staff was very nice.
Cons: Rolling in the cost of breakfast & Wi-Fi to the cost of the room like other hotels. Especially irksome to have to pay for Wi-Fi.
Location: Piccadilly circus, tube station.
This hotel has a great location. Being from the U.S. where Holiday Inns are quite inexpensive by comparison, it was a bit hard to swallow that this hotel charges so much for just the room, but you are staying in the most expensive area of London. Everything that was included in other hotels during our holiday are extra in this hotel: Wi-Fi and breakfast. We had a stopped-up toilet, which they couldn't fix because their maintenance man had already left (this was about 6pm). They offered to change our room, but didn't have one with 2 double beds, my teenage son did not want to spend the next 3 nights on a sofa bed, so we declined. Since we had already pre-paid through Expedia, there was no way for them to refund any of the cost of the room for the 24 hours we had no working toilet (they did give us a key to another room down the hall, to use the toilet). The staff was great, and offered us 3 complimentary breakfasts for our last morning and free Wi-Fi.

Great location, close to everything.

Room was average. The bath tub needed caulking, but otherwise ok. We stayed at the hotel 7 nights. Same breakfast for entire stay, needed some switch in the menu.

Not impressed

Posted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: The location was absolutely perfect
Cons: Everything else.
Disappointed with the hotel. The food was terrible. The dinning room was even worse. I was told that our floor was newly renovated. If it was, they must have used materials from 1950s.

Functional non-luxury hotel

Posted Jun 12, 2014
Pros: The hotel is multistory tall building, rooms are OK size by London standard, some rooms have great view of London, Large lobby but not impressive
Cons: Put clocks on night stands. Improve elevators.
Location: There are great breakfast/lunch places nearby - so don't bother with room service. Several museums and the Gloucester Road tube station is 2 minutes w
Checkin starts at 3 pm, but room was not ready until 4 or so. Several people were waiting in the lobby for room. Looks like this is common occurrence on busy days.

Pros: see above
Cons: free internet service
Location: see above
Hotel in great location. We came in from the airport and took the tube. Green park station is around the corner from the hotel. That was great for us as we took the tube everywhere. Buckingham Palace was just a short walk thru Green park. 5 minute walk! Piccadilly circle and entertainment district 5 blocks away. A 10 minute walk! Hotel itself a little small. Rooms not big, but clean. Internet not free. That should change as every guest should have access to Wi-fi free. Hotel staff was great. Antonella at Front desk check us in and out. She was very helpful and made everything smooth for us. She had a great smile and always was willing to go the extra mile for us. Marcos at Concierge was great as well. Helped us everyday with our tourist questions and concerns.
