London Hotel

Posted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Close to park, supermarket, coffee store, subway, and many walkable attractions. Great, easy for families.
Nice room, great stay in London. Would have been better with free wireless connection and if the mini-fridge had more room (instead of filled with expensive snacks). Easy access to subway and bus stops; close to many necessities like coffee house, drug store, and supermarket. Walkable to many attractions. Easy location for families.

Great location in Mayfair

Posted Mar 23, 2014
Cons: Bathroom venting (fans) need to be upgraded, though the heat lamp was a nice touch. Better opening of windows.
Arrived late; no issues. They had an envelope that had been delivered to the hotel; tickets for a Chelsea football game; no issues - envelope available on request. There were four of us so the room was a bit cramped but we knew this going in. Breakfast was diverse and always fresh; a good start to the day of exploring. Excellent location. Only minutes to Green Park Tube station and Green Park itself. St. James Park only about 10 minutes away on foot. Good restaurants in the area. Lots of shopping in the area; mostly high end, couture. Harrods was about a half hour away on foot. Can you tell we did a lot of walking. All hotel staff were pleasant at all times. I would recommend this hotel for the value and proximity to everything.

Decent hotel in good location

Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: Location and price
Cons: parking charges too high
Location: Mayfair is walking distance to Buckingham Palace, Theatreland, Trafalgar Square, the West End and galleries, etc.
The hotel is well located for attractions and visiting the theatre. The room was comfortable and clean with little noise intrusion from the street below. The staff was friendly and fairly helpful.

Perfect location, fantastic accommodating staff

Posted Mar 19, 2014
Pros: Staff, location, clean, food, price
Cons: Our key card seemed to stop working every time housekeeping had access to our room so maybe this should be looked into
Location: Mayfair, across road from The Ritz. Green Park tube station 2mins walk. Buckingham Palace 5mins walk. Oxford Street 7mins walk. Piccadilly Circus 5min
We arrived early and rather than have us wait until our room was ready we were upgraded allowing us to start our holiday. The room was clean and well equipped. There was some road noise early at nights but that was to be expected with where the hotel was situated, but it wasn't bothersome due to the double windows. Breakfast was a plentiful buffet and the staff were always on hand to help with any request. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and the food was nice, prices reasonable and kids ate free. Hotel is centrally situated within walking distance of many attractions, and Green Park tube station is 2 minutes walk away. I will not think twice about staying here on our next visit to London. Only negatives were my husband found the bed a little soft for his liking and our key cards stopped working on two occasions.

The Holiday Inn Mayfair far exceeded my expectations for a central London hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The facilities met our expectations as well.

Nice hotel close to all the attractions in London

We went with our two young kids & were very happy with the hotel. Room was spacious & very clean. Staff were helpful & the buffet breakfast was excellent. Only downside was that we found the room service rates very overpriced.

Second time is NOT a charm...

Posted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: The location and the cleanliness.
Cons: Mattresses are uncomfortable. Our view was of garbage.
Location: The Tube is nearby. So is Piccadilly Circus, shops, restaurants and Greene Park. Very convenient.
We like the hotel. The location is fabulous. We stayed here 5 years ago and nothing much has changed. However, we booked a three night stay, beginning on a Friday, but were unable to get there until Saturday. We tried to switch the stay prior to arriving knowing that were unable to get there on Friday due to weather. We were willing to stay three nights starting on Saturday. That said, the hotel would not refund us for the night we weren't there and we were told that if we wanted to stay an extra night it would cost an extra $480. It was infuriating.

Nice hotel in upmarket area

Posted Feb 4, 2014
Pros: The location was great with the tube station very close and in a great area with the Ritz just down the road. The rooms very comfortable.
Location: Very close to everything and easy to get to all the areas of London which I wanted to see
We had 3 nights here in cold & wet January which included my Birthday. The staff were all very nice and the concierge was very helpful. I received a beautiful bottle of wine, chocolates and a card from the hotel for my Birthday which was a lovely touch! The beds were very comfortable with a choice of soft or firm Pillows which was great.

Nice hotel in the city center

Posted Feb 3, 2014
Pros: 50 meters distance from nearest underground station (Green Park), very close to Piccadilly Circus, one train to Heathrow (Piccadilly line)
Location: With only 50 meters to the nearest underground station, everything looked nearby.
Nice location, friendly staff, reasonable room rates if you had made your reservation through expedia (too expensive otherwise)
