In need of upkeepPosted Jul 26, 2014
It's a low priced hotel for London, so if budget is important, it's okay. But the facility is so run down- carpets badly stained, lights not working, broken shower fixtures, etc. Awkward for the Tube, though very convenient to bus to the Tube stations. On the plus side, the beds were surprisingly comfortable, the breakfast was good, though the Breakfast room is cramped, and the staff were very pleasant.

Economy hotel in zone 1 LondonPosted Jul 6, 2014
Was lucky to get a room facing inner yard, so was quite, quite pleasant experience. There was garbage out side hotel, and cleaning staff had lots of their equipment in the reception, seems to be the way they run things over there. Location is decent, although tube station is a bit further away, although it was not bad, as Overground was 5 mins away, just needed to make more changes. Room was clean enough, and shower was spacious for this type of hotel. If you are lucky enough to not get a room in basement, then this might be a good hotel for your stay.

No elevator, carry your luggage upto 3rd floor, some rooms have no windows, some have electric fans, stairs very steep and narrow

Great location, good price.Posted Jun 17, 2014
I've got no negatives about this hotel, when you take it in context of the price. It's in a good location, it was clean and it included breakfast.

Good location, reasonably pricedPosted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Location, convenience of breakfast being included, proximity to train stations.
Cons: Staff need to provide choice of currency during credit card payments; they seek to charge you in your local currency as they receive a kickback.
Holland Inn hotel was great for our 4 night stay in London. Good location within easy 15min walk from Notting Hia, train stations nearby, restaurants/pubs nearby also. We had a ground floor double room, with lovely views to neighbouring courtyard area. Bathroom was small but functional, plenty of hot water. Breakfast included was basic but more than adequate, toast, cheese, eggs, cereal, juice, tea & coffee. Staff were generally helpful. Only negative to report was that staff refused to take our credit card payment in local currency, which is against Mastercard/VISA policies. Questioned them on it and they advised us that they have no option on currency - WRONG! Reported this to Mastercard and it has since been rectified and the difference refunded. Beware of this as it will result in higher charges to you - we encountered this from other London businesses also, so it is worth knowing your rights beforehand.

UNHAPPY CUSTOMERPosted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: PRIVATE BATH
Cons: EVERYTHING..IT'S A MESSS!!! EVEN THE OUTSIDE LOOKS OLD. DINGY, NEEDS A PANT JOB, AND LOOKA DIRTY!!
THIS SO CALLED HOTEL IS A PIECE OF CRAP. AND TO ME IT'S NOT THAT CHEAP FOR THE TINY ROOMS AND HORRIBLE CONDITIONS! I STAYED 5 NIGHTS STARTING S/19/2014, AND PAYED $550 FOR A VERY UNCOMFORTABLE STAY. THE AC WAS BROKEN AND ONLY BLEW ROOM TEMP AIR, SO JUST IMAGINE HOW HOT IT WAS IN SUCH A TINY 8X10 ROOM!! THE SMALL REFRIGERATOR DID NOT WORK. IT WAS PLUGGED ON BUT NEVER GOT COOL. SO ALL MY JUICES AND FOODS THAT I PUT IN IN SPOILED. THE HOTEL DIDN'T EVEN HAVE AN ICEMAKER. I CHOSE THE TWIN ROOM ..THEY SQUEEZED 2 SMALL COTS IN THAT TINY ROOM! THE SHOWER IS WAY TOO SMALL , U CAN'T EVEN TURN AROUND! AND THE DRAIN WAS CLOGGED. THE ONLY GOOD THING IS THAT EACH ROOM HAS PRIVATE BATHROOM. THEIR WEBSITE STATES EACH ROOM HAS ITS OWN MICROWAVE BUT THAT'S A LIE! AND WHEN I TOLD THE MANAGER ABOUT NO MICROWAVE AND MY AC NOT WORKING HE SAID THAT THEY NEED TO CHANGE THEIR WEBSITE AND THAT HE KNEW THE AC WASN'T WORKING AND THAT IT NEEDS A NEW COMPRESSOR..SO THEN WHY DID U BOOK ME THAT ROOM??!! SO I WAS VER VERY UNHAPPY AND UNCOMFORTABLE STAYING THERE.

CheapPosted May 20, 2014
The room was very small, which is to be expected at this price. The room was damp, caused by the shower/wet room which made it unpleasant. There were coffee (?) stains up the wall, which clearly hadn't been cleaned thoroughly in a while. Not a great experience.

Needs a good cleaningPosted May 12, 2014
Pros: Not Much.
Cons: The rooms need a really good cleaning. The carpet should be removed and replaced with a non-carpet surface. All the bedding needs replacing.
Location: Very close to Earl's Court Tube stop.
The room was tiny. The carpet was quite dirty. The walls were very dirty. The bathrooms looked clean enough (thank goodness!) I immediately checked the mattresses for bed bugs and was almost amazed that they were good. The sheets were nice and clean, but the bed spreads were nasty-looking. We only stayed for one night and we won't be back!

bad night stayPosted May 12, 2014
Cons: lots of improvements. a full sized kitchen and full english breakfast would be a good start.
you do not want to be in room 19 the noise from the road (constant cars) and the main door open/closing on a Friday night is appalling. the size of a single room is not made to fit all and the layout just makes you think where am i. now to tip this off even further at 8am the water went cold and did not go hot again until after departing. would suggest this hotel only to people how are not fussed for a budget night stay.

For the price of the hotel room I can't believe free wifi is not included. Hotel staff were very nice. Rooms, toilet and shower are small.
