I have to say, the staff is exceptional. The condition of the property though…. Lobby and public areas are absolutely fine. Our room… well, stained box springs, loose floor tiles in the bathroom, mildew in various places throughout, peeling finishes on the furniture. In desperate need of a deep clean and update. That said- again, the staff was lovely, if you are need of a place for one night, you could do worse. Well located.

We arrived after midnight, causing it to be much too late to do anything about our room. There were dirty towels in our closet and dirty spills down the wall. The front desk said nothing when we. Roughy them the dirty towels. When leaving in the am for breakfast, we found that we had to surrender our key anytime we left the building. Upon return, we found the staff had been in our room to remove a stool. That would have been ok, except, they then knocked and opened our door to gain entry even though we said no. They just wanted to return the stool was the excuse, and proceeded to barge in. This hotel has a NO REFUNDS policy. We left after one night and found a very nice hotel elsewhere. When reaching out to the staff about the filth and interruptions, they said, “we were just trying to return a stool.” They then said to reach out to our booking agent. The lack of disregard for their patrons was amazing. I would give negative stars if I could. DO NOT STAY at HOTEL OLIVER.

Hotel Oliver is lovely, and you really can't beat the location. The property is cute & quirky. If you don't come with grand expectations of a 5 star hotel, you should be pleasantly surprised. The room wasn't nearly as small as expected given the price and the location. The beds were comfy and the place was clean. The staff were absolutely delightful, very helpful and even let us stick around for a cuppa after we'd checked out. I couldn't recommend Hotel Oliver more.

The Hotel Oliver is conveniently located to bus stops and about a .3 walk to the tube. Lots of Pubs and dining near by. The staff were super nice and helpful. Great place to stay for a few days.
