4th floor with no lift isn’t easy! No hot water, and I wasn’t going to walk all the way down to report it. Staff were super helpful, it was value for money as I paid very little for central London. Bed was clean & comfy & had the best nights sleep I had in ages.

The hotel was in rather a state of repair in places, we were given a 3rd floor family room (I had previously requested a ground floor one, due to having children and a baby and wasn't told until we got there, that there weren't any. The stairs weren't very safe and no way were we walking up 6 flights, whilst carrying a baby, as well as luggage etc, we were given a basement room, but the noise from the underground was terrible and i barely got any sleep even with earplugs, due to the rubbling and vibrations. The breakfast room was quite small and there was a long dark hair, under one of the table cloths that could be seen and the plates and bowls weren't heated up for the hot food, there was also no decaf tea or coffee in the hotel, so I had to go and buy my own. The staff were very friendly and apart from the noise from the underground, the location was perfect.

I rated this room average. The customer service was good. The people were kind. The beddings were pure white, clean and fresh. The facility is about 4 minutes walk from the paddington train station, London therefore, accessible. However, if you love a spick and span environment, you may not love it but you can survive. The property is a little old. I was given a room in the basement which was so noisy given the nearby underground train system. The rooms are really small. I wish I was informed about the basement and the noise, i would have made an informed decission on the choice of the room.

It is my first experience with this terrible hotel the incredible thing was thar I can change to another hotel because cheaptikets.com won’t help me to move it. The reality with this is that went you pay it is impossible to get your money back to go to another hotel with out a penalty and you have to stay even you are not agree and very disappointed, was a very bad bad bad experience with the hotel and with cheatikets.com

Reception was very basic, 1 sofa seen better days. Room was dirty, bedding was clean thou.No bath mat to use so had to use 1 of the 2 towels they gave. my son was shocked that the bathroom was cleaner than the bedroom. my view was horrendous. Brick wall, and very dirty outside (juice carton that been left not sure how long) Curtains didn’t fit window properly, big gap at side! had a big silver foil type pipe coming throw. (Not sure if it was from kitchen because there was a smell in room) Dirty stain on ceiling.Tv didn’t work properly kept losing signal but that’s because it was just a little indoor aerial on like a bit of a ceiling. Room was very basic. square cube next to bed high up to put phone and couple other bits on. Yes asked for ground floor thats what i got but then had to walk down some very thin stairs with lose carpet to get to dining room. Told staff couldn’t use plug as wouldnt go in, cleaner came and showed her, was hanging out but she said it was fine as still charging phone! Wow no way was it fine. Also plug higher up had built in usb ports they didnt work either, told staff she said do you need all these charging ports/plugs. Said need 3 items charging she said don’t worry u have enough! Unless i needed to use kettle which had to fill with water bottle. Dirty hair left on shower head (from previous resident) breakfast is cereal, toast, croissant or egg very basic! Overall get what you pay for. Would i stay again only if no where else

Very handy for hop on, hop off buses and the underground. Very quiet street. Hotel was nice, could do with some renovations, a bit run down, but otherwise i would stay again. Staff were lovely

Worst hotel in Paddington.
Worst hotel ever. Dilapidated, stinky and in very bad condition. Photos advertised were very inaccurate. 100% disappointed so we left early.

Firstly, theres 3 floors and the stairways are so narrow and there's no elevators. If you have a lot of luggage forget about this hotel. Only good is the location. Close to Paddington station

Me and my mate from Dublin stayed the night here as we were visiting London for two days. The guy at the front desk was extremely lovely and it really is 24/7 desk! We had no problem with checking in or out either. The area around was a dodgy but the bus was only a 5 min walk and it took 10/15 min to get into the city so that was no problem at all. Me and my mate shared the double bed and we paid €30 each for the night so its perfect for budget and cheap city breaks. The actual room was small but it was quiet clean, the lights were working and there was the coffee station , hairdryer , a radiator and a tv although it wasnt working. The only problem we had was the shower and this was the biggest downfall as it had no glass around it and was just in the bathroom and it didn't have any warm water (we wanted to take a shower at 3 am after a night out so maybe the boiler wasnt on) but again - you get what you pay for! We just dealt with it as we paid so little. Would definitely recommend if you’re on a budget as the bed is clean and room is small but perfect for two.

Excellent location! Got this spot for a mother daughter trip for 2 days of touring around London. It was perfect just what we needed; enough bed space, private bathroom, breakfast and great hospitality! We did have to trudge up 4 flights of stairs with luggage and the rooms are not “spacious” but as to be expected for the area. Paddington park out front was a lovely addition!

The room was clean which is usually the most important aspect of finding a suitable hotel. However we had a room in basement which meant every few minutes we heard the sound of the underground train passing by. The noise was sufficient to shake the room and cause the light fitting to vibrate. We left feeling incredibly tired as the train ran until the early morning and started again at 6am. I’m sure the above ground room were fine but can’t be sure. So just be careful if you are booking a twin or family room in case you end up in the basement. It wasn’t enjoyable.

The room was just o.k nothing special.l think it was over priced. We stayed in a basement room. We could hear the tube trains underneath us very clearly. The bathroom was incredibly small and no mirror which made shaving impossible. I would not recommend it and definitely wouldn't stay there again!!

I would only stay here if you are hard up.
This was a dive. Bare minimum service and amenities. Our room was in the basement and had three beds crammed in with virtually no room to move. The bathroom was so tiny your chin was resting on the sink while you were on the toilet. No bath mat, no hand towels, and only two towels provided for three of us. We were given more when we asked. The sink was constantly plugged and was tiny so one hand washed plugged it for about 15 min. The shower was tiny but there was hot water. Amazingly the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was very meager with no fruit at all. Cereal, packaged croissants, white bread, cheese slices and boiled eggs. Was only 5 min walk from Paddington Station, on a quiet tree lined street with lots of other hotels. Try the Dolphin Hotel right next door, or the Shakespeare Hotel two doors down.
