Nice staff

Posted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: Excellent staff.
Cons: Lighting & help with bags.
Location: Perfect location for travelling as next to train & underground.
Very nice staff & perfect location for travelling the city. Room had some issues with lighting as overhead in bathroom is motion detector. Light would continually turn off while showering with no natural light coming in. No elevator made it tough to get to our room on top floor especially with luggage. Breakfast included was a bonus!

Excellent location, friendly staff, nice room

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Cons: It would be good if there was a separate shared toilet on each floor. Also it would be good if full breakfast was half price for under 5.
Really liked the room- very clean and comfortable. We had a basic room so we were sharing a bathroom including a toilet with several other people which in hindsight was not ideal with children.

Stay at Jesmond Dene

Posted Mar 20, 2015
Experience was below expectation.. Rooms were too small. My room did not have a functioning TV. I had noisy Neighbours who kept me awake beyond 12 mid night. Location and hotel staff were excellent

Tiny hotel, tiny rooms, convenient location

Posted Mar 17, 2015
Very convenient location - about one block to King's Cross and St. Pancras International train stations, King's Cross Underground Station and to Eustis Street which has many bus stops. You can walk to places such as the British Museum in about 20 minutes if so inclined. There are enough restaurants within a 5 minute walk to get by and of course there is food available in the train stations, including the ubiquitous M&S and Pret a Manger types of take-away convenience stores. The room was very tiny - just barely larger in area than the beds. While I had thought that our room had its own toilet and shower, it turned out that it did not - we had to use a shared toilet/shower one floor up. Fortunately, we never had to wait for access to it. The room does have a sink. Overall, for the price, it was a reasonable value considering that it is very conveniently located. It is not a bad place to stay if you just need a place to sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful with left luggage, check in, and check out.

Budget in price only !

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Pros: Shower and location.
Cons: The beds lack a little in substance as do the pillows.
Location: British museum, Grants zoology museum and a massive Waterstones (5 floors to get lost in!)
For what we paid, the Jesmind Dene was a little gem. It is so nice to find a London hotel that feels as if it is family run (not sure if it is or not). The room was spotlessly clean and the two aspects of note were the best shower I've had in ages and easy access wifi that was free ! Just around the corner from Kings Cross, easy access to many interesting places and yet very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Easily accessible hotel.

Pros: Nice and warm and lovely breakfast
Cons: Facilities to make tea and coffee would be nice
Location: Very good location. Walking distance from tube and hop on hop off buses anf a few nice pubs for family food
Pleasurable and affordable experience for a family of 5. Hotel walking diastase from the tube. No tea and coffee making facilities available in the room. Very friendly staff. Lovely full cooked English breakfast. Shared bathroom facilities but cleaned very regularly. Lovely food at the local o'Neil's pub.

The best part of this hotel is the location because it's close to kings cross which makes it easy to take the tube. People considering this hotel should know that there are rooms in the basement which are next to the breakfast room which makes it impossible to sleep between 6-9 in the morning.
