Not awful, but certainly not spectacularPosted May 18, 2015
Pros: It's located near an Underground/Overground Station.
Cons: Everything which I've initially complained about.
Location: It's close to public transportation via Underground/Overground. But the hotel is situated in a residential area. Not much to do.
The front desk wasn't very emphatic when they informed arriving guests, that their (our) rooms weren't ready yet. Even at 14:00 (2:00PM) as advertised on their website and on Expedia's site. Although the fine print does say 2PM check in, often times hotels allow early check-ins after or around noon as a courtesy to international guests. It's not expected, but it's certainly appreciated after flying for hours across the world. Additionally, the hotel staff did offer baggage check, but they were left sitting out in the open, in an unsecured fashion. If the staff steps away from the desk for a moment, the bags could potentially be stolen. Also, there wasn't an official waiting area or comfort sofa style seating to wait for your room. We were allowed to be seated at the bar and table areas, which is a bit tacky. Lastly, the plumbing for a hotel that boasts on being a premier spa hotel, is very dated and the water pressure was either too high or too low. My shower head cap, came off in mid-shower. I'm glad it didn't fall on me, which is why I wear I flip flops in the shower. If had I stepped on it. It would've cut me.

Great modern hotelPosted May 18, 2015
The hotel was in a great location for everything we had planned. Great bar, good atmosphere. Our rooms weren't quite ready so we were given a drink free each which we didn't even expect. Rooms were large, quiet, well decorated and an amazing power shower.

Not what it's cracked up to bePosted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: It offers Gin Mare (from Spain) - brilliant!
Cons: External hygiene; Attention to detail and customer service/experience at the reception bar; Electrical standards.
Location: Close to Earls Crt and Olympia - reason we chose! Although it seemed miles away from anything else we wanted visit - West End etc
Room 110 was clean and functional. Both bathroom and shower both had a step to enter. Having been allocated a 1st floor room, due to the ground levels of the hotel, this meant we were almost underground, on the same floor as the spa. Ground floor being Floor 3! As a consequence, our room's window was level with the ground, and as a consequence, all the rooms above and the occupants that chose to smoke out of their windows flicked their cigarette butts out of the window only to land directly outside our window. We even saw wet/baby wipes and marijuana plastic wraps outside our window with the distinctive logo'd leaves printed on them. Lovely! Receptions staff were friendly and helpful and were happy to book transport for us. Bar staff in reception were on the whole OK, although there was one slightly younger member of late night bar staff that seemed content to short measure customers if the bottle had just run-out! Although I am not a qualified NICEIC registered electrician, I am involved in the building industry. With this in mind, the un-shielded halogen lamps/down-lighters within our shower enclosure and bathroom, seemed to be completely unacceptable from a safety point of view as they were exposed (within the legal required distance limits) of the shower head. Similarly the shaver socket was located directly adjacent to the wash hand basin. They may well be protected by an RCD breaker but this is by far from best safety practise. Photo's are available.

Excellent upmarket hotel, comfort could improvePosted Mar 12, 2015
Location: Westfield is around the corner and so is Shepherd's Bush tube & overground station. It's very convenient for getting into Central London - lots to do!
I've stayed here once before and although the standard of the hotel is excellent in terms of facilities, cleanliness, service and style, the most important aspect of sleeping in a bed that is not your own is that the sleeping quality is good! Unfortunately now for the second time I feel that I've been let down on this aspect. * the bed sheets are fitted very tight and felt suffocating after a while, especially since the heating was kept on throughout the night * the curtains do not cover the full window as there is a blocker preventing you from pulling it all the way, as a consequence I was awoken around 6am both nights due to the daylight breaking into the room with no option to darken the room Surprisingly enough (maybe because I was staying on the 4th floor) the hot water pressure was appalling in both the tap as well as the shower. It took at least 5 minutes for the shower to warm up to a reasonable level. Basics like this should really be spot on in a hotel with such steep room rates.

Fab hotelPosted Mar 8, 2015
Pros: Funky hotel very comfortable room, lovely beds
Cons: Allow entrance to the Spa with out having to book a treatment.
Location: great location for shepherds bush hammersmith and west london
Comfortable stay with very friendly staff. Great bar area. Bar food was really yummy, though didn't have breakfast as felt that was a little overpriced.
