Pros: Staff helpful. Convenient for getting Eurostar to Avignon
Cons: Oil bathroom door. Soundproof ceiling!
Beds were comfy. Room clean. Bathroom door squeaked. Could hear underground trains and people in room above.

Across the street from King's Cross train station

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Conveniently located within public transit and a variety of shops and restaurants. The newly renovated rooms are nice.
Cons: The breakfast room is in the basement and the food was not to our taste. There is no lift to the upper floors.
Location: This hotel is great if you're planning to travel by train and for using the well organized and efficient public transit system in London.
If you're planning to stay in this hotel during this time, be aware that it is under construction. This is a positive thing for the future of the hotel but not fun if you're there while this is taking place. I would call first to see if it's still going on. Also, ask for one of the newly renovated rooms if you can. It is not cheap to stay here. They charge for wifi and breakfast. The staff at the front desk are accommodating but not super friendly. On the day we arrived the rain had leaked through the roof and began coming through our ceiling. This was unfortunate since our room was one of the new ones. They were very efficient in moving us to another room, which was a bit larger too and they gave us a free breakfast and wifi for one day, which was very nice. Their housekeeping could improve. During our four day stay, they just made the beds and changed the towels, the used cups, garbage, floor, sink and toilet were not cleaned up. The toiletries were not replenished daily. I did complained about out on our last night and they were apologetic, stating that they had hired new staff and were being trained. I would recommend that they provide the housekeeping staff with carts for the bedding and towels instead of placing piles of the clean linen and towels for the rooms on the hallway floors every morning. Odd.

Only there for a short while, pleasant stay. Train noises were a bit annoying especially late at night.

Kings cross inn Aug 14

My room was reasonable for 2beds a bit small for 3 but was fine. Recently refurbished with a good sized fridge. Location great for catching tube or train about the city. Had both of my kids with me and they liked the room. Just make sure your room is at the back away from the road and has a/c.

awful stay

Posted Jul 23, 2014
We arrived at 2:30 pm, since the checking time was 2:00. The rooms were not ready, so we went out to eat something. Half an hour later the rooms were still not ready, and the general conditions of the hotel were awful: dirty sheets on the floor, garbage all over the place, there was a beer on the desk beside the bed... So we went to the counter and explain it to the guy over there, and he was very sarcastic about our situation: he finally gave us other rooms after we insisted, but we feel he was mocking us. This was a bad experience to begin with, considering we were going to stay in London for just 2 days. The neighbourhood was not the best either, lots of homeless people, some persons were shouting and arguing in the middle of the night, etc. I don't recommend this hotel.
