Great Design that misses "Great Hotel"Posted Sep 22, 2013
Location: Bayswater, great neighborhood. Nice to have the park near for a run. Lots of affordable restaurants. Tube station very close.
It's a beautiful boutique hotel. The desk staff is polite, helpful, concerned. The vegan menu is pretty good, especially if you're vegan (I'm not.) They don't serve alcohol. Like many hotels that stress design, it misses on some basic hotel basics: 1) This first point is the no-return, deal-breaker for me. Interminable internet access. It was slow and sporadic. I was there for business and I couldn't stay connected long enough to catch up on email at the end of my day of meetings. A couple of hours wasted over the course of a few days. I sat in the lobby, often, on a hard bench. 2) I was pick-pocketed (no cash, no cards) and after spending more than a 1000 pounds for my nights there, the manager was so worried about footing the bill for a 19 pound cab ride to King's Cross that I missed my train to Paris while she fiddled with receipts and credits and debits. A bit stingy and indifferent. I guess that day wasn't stressful enough. This is not the Ritz where employees are given a budget to solve problems. This is a line-item operation, counting paper cups, as it were. 3) Clean, but inconsistent maid service. Each day, I had to call for towels, toiletries. The room came with 4 hangers. 4) This is really minor but illustrates that the designers are a bit out of touch, there's no full-length mirror, not in the room, in the halls or in the lobby.

Classy hotel, Great location!Posted Aug 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
Located within walking distance of many convenient food, markets and minutes from Winsor Palace and Hyde Park. The hotel was sleek, clean, had high end facilities and amenities. Everything I needed was available in room. Blow dryer, Iron etc. I would highly recommend La Suite West and would definitely stay here again.

Good location but needs some workPosted Jul 30, 2013
The hotel was gorgeous and my room was great except for the walls were so thin that I could hear everything happening above, below, and around my room. Well-located.

A refreshing changePosted Jul 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
I really enjoyed my stay. I liked the cool hotel design. The room was a bit small but Hey, this is London. I was told the hotel was vegetarian, vegan and alcohol free which was a little strange because I saw a guest tucking in to a full English breakfast one morning. All in all I would recommend the hotel.

Perfectly located hotel.Posted Jul 11, 2013
La Suite West was the perfect hotel for my needs. As a former West London girl, I needed a place to stay for work. This hotel fulfilled all my needs. Perfectly situated, just seconds away from 2 major tube lines, beautiful Hyde Park and all my favorite Westbourne Grove and Notting hill haunts, i couldn't recommend it more highly. The staff went beyond the call of duty to accommodate my needs (packages, excess luggage etc) and the outdoor space was perfect for entertaining colleagues. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

If you like dark, cramped spaces.....Posted Dec 3, 2012
Pros: Good towels and bed linen
Cons: Small, dark and cramped
Location: Excellent location for Notting Hill
Room was dark and very small. Too much style and not enough substance. For an expensive hotel little things like no complimentary biscuits or tissues in the room. The whole hotel is dark and feels cramped akin to the dungeons of a medieval catle
