Nice place, good price!Posted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Staff was very helpful with calling for lost baggage at the train station.
Location: beautiful walks through Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park! The Pizza Factory restaurant is great, 5 min walk down Bayswater rd.
we stayed here on a return trip through London for two nights with our 9month old. The rooms are small but as are most in UK/Europe. Hotel was in a quiet neighborhood and a close walk to Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park. We will stay here again in the future!

Nice Hotel, looks like 4 star. Bus & tube nearbyPosted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: Small hairdryer
Cons: Nothing as everything was great!
Location: Bus stop and tube few minutes walk. Quiet road. Oxford street very close.
I stayed for 1 night only and it was a great, nice hotel. Had to leave early morning to airport and didn't get a chance to have my breakfast.

Location, Location, LocationPosted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: The location on a quiet street and the fact that Europeans and locals stay there
Cons: The restaurant menu should be as good as the breakfast buffet.
Location: There is a shopping center within walking distance, several types of restaurants, parks to wander through, and two tube stops.
This was my third stay at this hotel, the first stay was when it was under a different owner. I like the location between two tube stops and one block from Bayswater, a very busy street but far enough away from Lancaster Gate, which is a quiet, residential street. I enjoy wandering around the neighborhood and walking in the nearby parks. It's possible to walk across the park to the Kensington area, which is another place I enjoy wandering and dining. There is a wonderful Italian restaurant just a couple blocks from the hotel. The food is always well-prepared. The food at the hotel is pleasing but nothing to write home about. Breakfast is good but lunch and dinner are better eaten out.

Clean, comfortable, close to everything.Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: You can get to any attraction by bus or by the tube. Avoid rush hours- the tube is fast/efficient - Oyster Pass covers both buy at station/airport.
Location: Hyde Park, Trafalgar Sq., Vic/Albert Museum, Harrods, Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Kensington Gardens, The Marble Arch - bus/tube etc.
We stayed two nights and found it to be very clean, comfortable beds with a nice view in a quiet location close to a lot of major attractions. We could also just step out and hail a cab at will or hop a bus. Will def. stay here again and would recommend it to others. The rooms are not large, but not super small either and considering your days are full of sightseeing they are perfect to come home to in the evening. We did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment. They will store your bags prior to check-in or after check-out for a small fee.

Good location. Close to Hyde Park.Posted Sep 12, 2014
Good overall location. Close to Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate underground. No bar fridge in room, no free wi-fi. Plenty of pubs and restaurants in the area so no need to eat and drink in the hotel. We found a fantastic little coffee shop around the corner called Martin's Peri Peri (Craven terrace) where we had breakfast every day. The full breakfast was only £5.50.

Location and good valuePosted Sep 8, 2014
We did a last minute booking, so we were pleasantly surprised about the comfort and the location of the hotel. Nice large room and very English in the decor. We would recommend this hotel to friends.

Excellent hotel in a great locationPosted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Well-maintained hotel close to parks, bus stops, underground station. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Wide variety of items on breakfast buffet.
Cons: Put feather beds on mattresses to soften them up a bit.
Location: Major shopping strip Harrods easily reachable by walk or bus. The Swan pub is just down street. One street from Hyde Park and Kensington Park.
Check-in was smooth and staff was very helpful and friendly. Reservations customer service was great (Marley was outstanding). Room was clean, nicely appointed, and large enough for four of us. Hotel is in a great location and having The Swan pub nearby is nice. Breakfast buffet had everything from croissants to cereal, eggs, toast, ham, sausage, beans. Days were surprisingly warm but the room had A/C so no problem. I would stay here again on another trip to London. Though Expedia may only list rooms available that hold 3 people, the hotel has rooms available for four (one double bed and two singles).

Nice hotel but beware of some roomsPosted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: The location and their staff
Cons: internet room charges and warnings about basement rooms
Location: The hotel is in a nice location: 1) 5min walk to the Bayswater & Queensway subway lines 2) 10mins to Paddington Station 3) 5-10min to Hyde Park
The hotel staff was nice to switch us out of a basement room to another one in the first floor. Their basement rooms are awfully stuffy and just dark (not much natural light if any), what's the point of even putting the window there? it reminded me of one of those cruise bedrooms in the lower levels.
