over night stayPosted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: clean comfortable .excellent surroundings
Location: excellent position for things to do
visited London for west end show, and found this hotel perfect for this event, very clean rooms though may be a little small for a two week stay, (not much draw space) and helpful staff, no far from tube station, and situated in a very pleasant area, has lots of local amenities, pubs, shops, supermarket, different restaurants, and fast food outlets, cannot comment on food in hotel as we did not eat there, would stay there again

ConveniencePosted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean.
The hotel was convenient to mostly all the places we planned to go to. There are lots of restaurants around the area and the underground train rides are just a couple blocks away from the hotel.

Convenient location but staff not helpfulPosted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: Location very convenient.
Cons: Staff should be more helpful especially with luggage considering the hotel entrance has steps and door open inward. Should've a ramp to roll luggage.
Location: Location closed to tube station and restaurants
Hotel should have a ramp to bring in and out luggage easier. Staff at reception were not helpful, no one offered help to carry luggage though they were just sitting down talking to one another. Room is very small and the bathroom is extremely small, did not have place to put toiletries or anything.

First time In LondonPosted Sep 4, 2014
Quiet, lovely accomodation, no issues to report so had a perfect stay with helpful staff when needed. Lovely run in Hyde park one morning. Great location on circle line so city access easy. Started to feel like a local. Loved it.

Small as expected, but great value for London!Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Good value for the money in a very safe, nice part of town -- close to Hyde Park and convenient for tube/rail service.
Cons: It would be nice if the rooms were a bit larger with more counter space in the loo. Maybe they could at least add some shelves in the bathrooms?
Location: See earlier comments re Hyde Park, etc. Also there are numerous pubs and other good restaurants in the area -- just about any cuisine you might want
We knew that affordable London hotel rooms are usually quite small but we were more interested in finding a hotel in a nice, safe location that would be very convenient for tube and rail service. The London House in Kensington Garden Square fits the bill. Hyde Park is very close, and the walk from the Bayswater tube station really does take 10 minutes or less. Paddington Station is at the next tube stop and you can get a train to almost anywhere from that station. We even walked to Paddington once when there was an unexpected problem with the tube line, and it was still less than 15 minutes. The room really was quite small and there was not much counter space in the loo but the room was immaculate and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Since all we needed was a place to lay our weary heads after full days of sightseeing, we did not care that we had a lousy view from our room. We are not big breakfast eaters so did not partake of the hotel breakfast. After some more travel in the UK, we will return here for the last two nights of our trip.
