Small rooms but worth it!

Posted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Location
Location: King's Cross station St Pancras International station British library Founding Museum British Museum Bedford Sqr
Rooms are small, old but clean. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is OK. The best thing about this place is location. You are walking distance from every tourist attractions, or if you like to travel with bus/train, this place is just a minute away from King's cross station (Don't forget Harry potter is filmed at this station!). Overall I highly recommend this place. You get a good deal for the money you spend. I will definitely stay here again.

Budget, cost-cutting, very near St Pancras Station

Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Location, Wi-Fi and Kettle despite budget
Cons: European power plugs/ USB, assistance in Baggage transport upstairs. Wider area for breakfast. If impossible, provide breakfast in the room.
Location: Perfectly near St Pancras railway and underground station
Budget, cost-cutting, but still providing essentials. Very near St Pancras Station

It was fairly clean and the bed was fairly comfortable, but it felt more like a hostel than a hotel. It was very expensive for what we got - 240 dollars for one night. Very nice, helpful clerk.

Cozy space. Very private. Great location near major stations (Kings Cross, St Pancras), buses and tourist attractions. Friendly front desk. Very accommodating. TV, iron & complimentary tea in my room. Free breakfast. Very economical. Great value for low price.

VERY QUIET AND CONVENIENT FOR KINGS CROSS STATION

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff , good breakfast , Quiet location, Low price(very low for London) , cleanliness
Cons: Decor could do with a coat of paint
Location: Literally across the road from Kings Cross and St Pancras Stations and Tube. British Library and British Museum in walking distance.
We booked in at the MacDonald for an overnight stop in London. It is a short walk from Kings Cross, very close to the British Library and British Museum. It overlooks a small quiet park. Room was very clean, furnishings basic - but to be expected at the price. Everything worked in the room and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Good proper fried breakfast and toast and cereal if you wanted it. I would definitely stay there again. We were made to feel very welcome and had a very comfortable and peaceful nights sleep.

Quaint B&B

Posted Jun 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Overall satisfied with our stay, the hotel was old but clean. The sheets and towels were also old but smelled fresh and felt clean. We stayed two nights on the third floor, the first morning the shower was ice cold due to the pilot light going out I believe ( the second morning was hot and steamy though!) . There are two showers and one toilet on the third floor, very small closet sized rooms. I've never shared a bathroom and shower with strangers during a hotel stay but I imagine my experience here would be the same as anywhere. The breakfast was a made-to-order, simple, traditional English breakfast (eggs and baked beans), with ham/sausage, yogurt and cornflakes optional. We arrived early and could not check in but the staff offered to hold our luggage so we could start our vacation! I would stay here again but would try to request a floor on a lower level or pack a little lighter since there is no elevator!!

Perfect location

Posted Jun 5, 2014
Pros: Lovely staff and great hot, fresh breakfast.
Cons: Decor, telly and new duvets.
Location: Perfect for Kings Cross, St Pancras and Eurostar to Paris. Reasonable walking distance to Euston.
Perfect location if travelling via Kings Cross. Tired hotel in need of some TLC, reasonable value for London especially if travelling on a budget.
