Great views from a grand hotelPosted Dec 4, 2013
Pros: The comfort of the room.
Cons: Our shower handle dropped off and although we reported it to reception early in the morning it had not been mended by the evening.
Location: The London Eye is literally right outside your window. There are boat trips and open topped buses passing regularly.
Good location a few minutes walk from Westminster underground station. Our room with two queen sized beds was very spacious and had super views of the river, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.

Fantastic hotel in an amazing central location.Posted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: There was an amazing view from our room. Sitting in bed with a hot cuppa each morning looking a Big Ben was a real treat.
Location: Walk across the bridge to Westminster underground and you could go anywhere.
We arrived in our taxi from Euston to have the door opened by the concierge. From the moment we stepped into this hotel the staff where warm and friendly. The building was beautiful. Extremely clean with a relaxed atmosphere.

Great location in Central LondonPosted Oct 22, 2013
Location: Eye, carousel, river walk, market, boat cruises, playground, great restaurants, state theaters, Tate Modern is less than a 2 mile walk down the river.
The location of this hotel is the highlight. Right in Central London, overlooking the London Eye, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament... walking distance along the river to many attractions. The building is historical and has plenty of charm and character, but does feel ever so slightly like old state offices and thus slightly institutional and musty feeling. But the staff is lovely. The high tea in the library is a must... A great weekend food market down the street, great restaurants right around the corner, great playground for the kids right outside our window. Overall, I would return here, but if you are looking for a trendy boutique hotel, this is not your hotel. Traditional comfort it is.

Fab, Five Star Accommodations!Posted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: The ease of access to attractions that interested me.
Cons: Now, this is extremely nit-picky, but I would like to see the room service menu expanded----and that's the only item I can think of!
Location: Read the above!
The best place to stay while in London---everything is within walking distance from the London Dungeons, London Eye, Parliament, Churchill War Room, Imperial War Museum, St. James Palace, Westminster Underground across the bridge and to Piccadilly CIrcus within in 5 minutes and for a taste of France a quaint French Patisserie right around the corner.

Close to a lot of major sites and the metro lines!Posted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: location, comfort and views
Cons: free wifi in all of the rooms
Location: Right next to the London Eye, and a 5-10 min walk from Westminster Abbey/ Big Ben. 10 mins from metro stops at Westminster or Waterloo.
The staff at the Marriott County Hall were exceptional. The hotel is right next to the London Eye (and we had a view from our window) and a short walk (5-10 mins) from Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. It's within 10 mins walk to both the Waterloo and the Westminster metro stops, so getting around the city from this location proved to be extremely easy! Beds were very comfy and the room service we ordered one night was great. The only negative I can report is that there is no wifi in the rooms, unless you want to pay 15 euros each day. The front desk attendant didn't inform us that wifi was free in the lobby though, so keep that in mind.

Delivered on every level.. Absolutely fabulous!!!Posted Oct 15, 2013
I requested a room with view and a room with a view is exactly what i got. It was 5 star without being stuffy. The staff was incredibley helpful and went above and beyond the call of duty. Loved the bar downstairs it was a great place to lounge with spectacular views of the London Eye and Big Ben. I don't like fruity drinks, but Black Brumble is a must. I can go on and on about this hotel.

I came to the hotel in the morning and asked for early check-in, if possible. I have to upgrade my room for the early check-in which is somewhat expensive. The service is acceptable though the staff are little bit cool. There was a special meal offer to resident at GBP15 including steak and beer. I was with family including teenager, I asked to change soft-drink replacing the beer for my child and my wife but surcharge is required. I see there is no point to give the offer just for beer, they are rejecting the special offer to non-alcoholic drinkers!!
