Fantastic location, friendly staffPosted Aug 18, 2014
The hotel is stunning and in a very good location close to all the best attractions of the city... Our room was better than expected which was a double room that included it's very own kitchen... very handy for a quick breakfast before hitting the streets... my only issue (which is very personal depending on your own preferences) was that the bed, although beautifully dress and large, it was too hard for me so I did spend most nights waking up for not being totally comfortable... complimentary water was a nice touch too :-) would totally recommend friends and family to stay here on their next visit to London.

Unhelpful Reception and ConciergePosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: location, close to train stations, and Regent's park
Cons: The level of hotel reception staff needs improvement. At least to be more friendly.
Location: Good location for train stations and Regent's park.
We booked three twin bed rooms for 6 family members in August 2014 for 4 nights. After a long journey from Japan, so disappointingly, we found all of three rooms were not twin beds room, but a king size bed. We requested to change these rooms. We all were so tired from the long flight that we really wanted to lie down and relax in a quiet room but we decided to wait for another half an hour. Regardless of that, all they did for us, was just separate the beds only 2 cm between each other. We were just shocked and realised we shouldn't have waited for this. What's worse was that the hotel reception seemed to be always busy and several times they didn't even answered the phone calls. The worst experience we had during the stay happend at the night of the last day. When we came back from dinner and scanned the room key to one of the rooms, the key didn't work. We tried and tried with two of the keys but never opend. I tried to call the reception desk from another room, but after a long waiting, he told me to come down to the reception. The receptionest was so arragant that he didn't even show simpathy or apology. Again, I felt we were treated unfairly and had to go back to the room with a security guy and showed him our passport. He didn't even explain anything but said becuase of magnetic problem. The service of hotel staff was incredibly unsatisfactory, or did I expect too much from this level of hotel in London?

Great location & experience but bait and switched.Posted Aug 6, 2014
What we booked was 2 twins for father daughter travel. We found only a single queen bed room available but for $125 additional we could have a 2 twin room with breakfast. Breakfast was good but not that good.

Decent hotel in good locationPosted Jul 29, 2014
Location: Great location. 10 minute walk from Euston and Marylebone High Street. To get into Covent Garden just a 20 minute walk.
We had booked a twin room unfortunately we were told at check in no twin available but they would upgrade us to a larger room. Wouldn't like to see a smaller room!! The bathroom was very small but clean.

Great location.Posted Jul 14, 2014
Very close to Paddington Station and London St Pancras. Regent Park was very lovely. Close to many restaurants, bars, and walking distance to attractions. Room was a bit on the small side but our focus was on history and culture not about space.

Pleasantly SurprisedPosted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Good location near Regents Park - two tube stops just steps away. Courteous, friendly and helpful staff. Clean and well-maintained. 'Level' features.
Cons: The hotel wouldn't / couldn't adjust our cost. We paid our booked base plus the upgrade, whereas 'Level' rooms were better priced online.
Location: Regents Park is right there ! Two tube stations and bus stops close by get you to everywhere else in London very efficiently.
We needed to find a London hotel on fairly short notice. The Melia White House, London popped up in our Expedia search - the location and amenities sounded good and the price for a standard room was 'in our ball park' range. When we arrived we learned that we could upgrade to 'The Level' at an additional cost. This appealed to us as it provided a good number of valuable additions: full English breakfast, private lounge serving non-alcoholic beverages and snack all day, tapas from 6 pm to 8:30 pm, and a range of wine and spirits from 6 pm to 11pm. With the upgrade we also got a larger room on an upper level. It was roomy, by London standards, clean and well-appointed. We could hear traffic noise - but not enough to be bothersome or to interfere with sleep. Staff were all courteous and accommodating.
