Fantastic hotel, in great location.Posted Feb 18, 2014
My girlfriend and I went for a short weekend break to see the sights of London. This excellent hotel is in prime location for the underground, trains, buses, and all London attractions. With fantastic staff and superb views from the balcony of the room we stayed in we enjoyed our stay immensely.

Nice hotel in very good locationPosted Feb 12, 2014
Pros: Overall experience was very good.
Cons: I think the king size was a hotel king size which also seem a little smaller.
Location: Good location central to the Southwark district
Lovely relaxed atmosphere with helpful staff. Room was contemporary and clean. Especially quiet which was a nice change from normal doors banging at all hours. Look forward to staying again.

Visting London as a trouristPosted Jan 16, 2014
Pros: Nice bar lounge area and reception with welcoming staff.
Cons: Not much for the type of hotel.
Location: Getting onto the riverside was easy and we loved being able to walk (you see so much) to the theatres and back.
My friend and I visited London for 3 nights as trourists for a change and stayed at the Mercure London Bridge. We were very comfortable in our room and the staff were helpful whenever we made enquiries about how things worked and where to go to get to places. I was travelling with a lot of large luggage which made the room cramped, for anyone with only one suitcase per person the room size would not be such an issue. We had a cheaper room and the bathroom was compact, but everything worked out okay. It seemed a long walk with lots of luggage from London Bridge station and then later to Southwark tube, but with on bag I would say it would be easy.

London Bridge is not falling downPosted Jan 14, 2014
Pros: Great hotel. Great people and food.
Cons: Don't put two people in a room for ONE.
Location: National Theatre, Globe Theatre, London Eye, National Portrait Gallery, The Tate Modern one block away
Great hotel in a great location. Great new renovations for common spaces in lobby. They put me in a very small room. I asked for a change...they gave me the same size room with a slightly larger bathroom. This is my third time there. I will be more careful about requesting room size next time.

Disappointing considering its a "Mercure"Posted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: We had room service that night, and the food was quite nice, (a little expensive, but nice).
Cons: They need better access to the hotel, more public transport. The room was TINY, they need to change their advert to a "Single occupancy" room.
Location: The London Eye, London Dungeons and Sea Life were quite close by, approximately 20 minutes walk. Various restaurants around the Riverbank.
We booked a standard room for one night, and it cost us £82 which we thought was a bargain for the Mercure 4 star hotel room, which typically costs more than £100. But when we got there, we were extremely disappointed. It was hard to get to, even though it advertised itself as being near Waterloo Station. Only two buses stopped outside the hotel, and even though one could walk to Waterloo Station, noone would want to in the cold and wet weather as it was 20 minutes away. Our biggest surprise was the room size. Although it was clean, and resembled the pictures online, one needs to be careful because the pictures are quite misleading. The room was TINY!! It reminded us of student hostel accommodation! We stayed at a Premier Inn in the past, and I am surprised to say that the Premier Inn rooms were bigger than that. The bed barely fit the room, it was too cramped for a couple paying for a standard room. We won't be staying there again.
