“Great location”
Great place, yet a creepy wooden coridor. Very convinient place near the metro. Breakfast is good and clean.
“was a great place to stay”
The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Rooms were nice size not cramped at all, like allot of London hotels. The hotel bar stayed open later than the pubs so if you still wanted to keep your party going it was possible. Also they have 24hr room service, so you could order food or more drinks even after the bar closed. ( can't tell I like to party !) Place was clean, access to the tube couldn't have been any easier since it was right across the street. Had a great stay, I will definatley be staying there again.
“Millennium Bailey's Hotel London Kensington”
Staff was great. Very helpful. Location is great. Lots of Pubs and Cafe's close by. A testco store across the street. Tube station directly across the street. All of our pickups for our excursions were either at the hotel or at the Crown Plaza the other side of tube station. Room was a little small we had to keep most of our luggage in the bathroom. Overall enjoyed hotel greatly
“Very nice”
This hotel was lovely but it did have a few minor flaws. The room was very clean and very spacious. The location and the neighborhood were both really nice- you can't beat being across the street from the tube station. We were on the fifth floor so the water pressure wasn't the best for the toilets and the shower- but it always worked even if it was slow and low.
“A Constant Struggle--Not Worth It”
I booked a twin room (2 beds) with NO warning that this would be honored "only if available." We checked in at around noon and were told we would have to sleep in a queen bed together and that if we did not like it, we would have to call expedia. They said room arrangements were not guaranteed in their contract. When we protested loudly and presented written documents that prooved a twin room had been reserved, they checked in our luggage and told us to come back later. They said they would "convert a king into two twins." Our room was at the back of the ground floor--tiny room with two twins that had headboards fastened to the wall, so there was NO WAY they had been arranged as a king. The bathroom had No ventilation. An "engineer" came and turned the lightbulb above the toilet and said he felt air coming out. All was "in working order." We used the public restroom off the lobby out of consideration for each other. There were no topsheets on the bed--only a duvet--and it took up to 4 phone calls to get facecloths! In the morning we were moved to a larger room on the second floor. We were told that everything would be taken care of. We NEVER got top sheets as promised. The bathroom still had no ventilation, but it helped to have a somewhat larger room. When we reutrned from sightseeing a note of apology, a bottle of wine(we don't drink), and a plate of fruit ..We also were given "club" privileges--access to sodas/drinks(often not there) and minimal snacks. Not worth it!!
“Nice Hotel”
This hotel is conveniently located across the street from Gloucester Tube Station, a 15-20 min easy ride into central London. There were several nice neighborhood restaurants within an easy walk, and an excellent coffee shop around the corner for mornings with a newspaper, coffee and good breakfast. Hotel is nicely appointed and well maintained. Our double room with queen was small, even by London standards, as was the bath, but our children's room with two singles was a good size. Nice bar for evenings. My biggest issue with the Bailey was upon check-in. I had reserved a double with a queen, and a double with two singles. Upon check-in, the desk clerk just matter-of-factly told me that I had not booked the singles and my "agent" had made a mistake and booked the two rooms as doubles with queen beds. She said no singles were available. No apologies. No discussion. Since I was the "agent" and I had also printed out my confirmation that stated two singles right on it, which I showed her, she backed off and gave us the room we had requested. Again, no discussion, no apologies. This was done so matter-of-factly I felt it must be standard procedure. If my two adult-size sons had had to share a bed in a tiny room, it would have ruined their stay. Otherwise, nice hotel and I would recommend it.
“Excellent but could have used more help at the front desk”
The hotel was in a perfect location, clean, revamped old hotel with lots of style. Room was a bit small but the bathroom was large by comparison (and very clean!) I had general questions about exchange rates and it seemed no one at the front desk could give me information. It would have been helpful if they had some information or at least could have steered me in the right direction. The pub in the hotel was lovely but service was not very good - but perhaps I am just an impatient person. Overall I had a lovely stay and all the staff members were very friendly.
“Charming Hotel”
I would recommend this hotel for its great location to restaurants, shops, and tube which was extremely convenient...just cross the street. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday which added to its charm. My room was a little small, and I could never get it warm enough...cold weather came while I was there. The staff was always helpful. The restaurant, Olives, was also a nice place to eat if one didn't feel like going out again in the evening.
“GOOD LONDON HOTEL”
THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE. BEDS ARE GETTING A LITTLE OLD AND MAY NEED REPLACEMENT
“Great 1st impression in London”
I was very pleased with my stay at Millenium Bailey's London Kensington. The staff was friendly and the concierge were extremely helpful (1st time in London). The hotel was within walking distance of several restaurants, stores and an internet cafe. The hotel's close proximity to the Gloucester Rd tube station was a big plus also. An ice machine would be a nice addition but I'd definitely stay here again.
