This is a nice hotel in a good location, only steps fr the subway. Nice decor in rooms and lobby. The concierge was very helpful. The only negative was no free wifi and it didn't work well when we did purchase it.

Impressive lobby, very close to underground

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: The hotel has a very impressive entrance and a very good front staff. Concierge services are excellent. Connection to tube and Heathrow are very good.
Cons: The rooms were quite small and in need of refurbishing. Eliminate wi-fi charges
Location: Victoria and Albert and the Science museums are a 5 minute walk away and Harrods about 15 minutes. Gloucester Road tube is very close, many eateries.
We arrived at 2.00 PM, the earliest check in time. As they had no standard rooms available we were given a club room. There appeared to be no advantages to club accommodation apart from being higher up. The concierge staff were very helpful in providing maps and directions and booking transport and the operator almost always answered the phone on the first ring. We were charged UK pounds 10.00 per day for internet access. Being next to Glouscester Road tube station made it a great base for exploration (buy Visitor Oyster card from London transport before entering the UK for best rates or buy a day ticket). There is a direct line (Piccadilly) to Heathrow.

Midweek Break

Beautiful hotel, helpful staff, ideal location 50 yards from Gloucester Road tube station, plenty of local eateries. The hotel was very expensive as you would expect. The only criticism was the charge of £10 per day for wi fi.

Great location!

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Location.
Cons: Gym is small not much in equipment. Breakfast (eggs) were awful, someone needs to learn to cook proper scrambled eggs.
Location: Museums
Near to everything, nice hotel, but nothing amazing.

Very accessible to public transport

Very close to àny London tourist spot. Even hop on hop off buses stops in the corner near the hotel. You can even take the hop on hop off bus quite late and not worry about getting tube on your way back as it stops near the hotel. Best hotel I've ever been. Even my son loves it. Bed is so comfy.
