Convenient! Near the station

Stayed for six nights. Hotel staff were nice and friendly. However, rooms were not cleaned well enough especially bathroom. Unfortunately Piccadilly line was closed at Gloucester station, it would have been much better if it's opened.

Convenient for tube in nice area.

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: Location Spacious, quiet room Special deal room rate
Cons: Lighting in room Room decor & furnishings updated
Location: Close to tube station and only a short ride into west end 5 minute walk to museums Handy for Knightsbridge shops
Stayed here for 3 nights on short London break. Hotel was excellent value for money on the special deal rate we received but I wouldn't have been happy if I had paid the full regular price. Public areas were spacious and bright and staff were pleasant and helpful. Room was large, clean, comfortable and generally well appointed but a little dark which helped hide the rather tired looking furnishings. The wash-hand basin was cracked, the hairdryer didn't work and the in-room tea/coffee was not always replenished. The room was one of the quietest we have encountered in London which meant we slept well. We didn't eat in the hotel at all as there are plenty good cheaper options nearby. The hotel is situated opposite the tube station in a good area and is an ideal base for exploring. Would stay again if we got a similar deal.

The room isn't as nice as a stay in most Canadian Hotels - The room was acceptable with the floor was a little dirty.

Lovely Time in London

Posted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Location is excellent! The staff is polite and accommodating.
Cons: Minor thing...get rid of stained pillows on couch at the lobby.
Location: see comment above
'Had a nice stay! Booked 4 rooms - rooms were roomy, comfortable, clean. The buffet breakfast was quite good. The location is excellent - the Gloucester tube station is just around the corner convenient to getting around London. Even the hop-on/hop-off bus, and tour buses stop there. Hotel is walking distance to Hyde Park, and it is located in the South Kensington which is a lovely neighborhood. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice Hotel in good location

Welcoming lobby, pleasant and helpful young woman at check in. A very large room by London standards, with a king bed and absolutely quiet considering the hotel is bounded by three busy streets. Also reasonable value in over-priced London.

Pros: Good location pleasant staff nic breakfast
Cons: Bette furniture cleaner bathroom
Location: Walking to nice restaurant s on Gloucester road and walking to museaum
Excellent position Warm welcome. Very helpful staff room a little tired and bathroom a little grubby round the dgeds but nice hot and powerful shower. Bed OK it was a single an thuh comfy felt small compared to other singles I've slept in. We had a drink in the bar glass of wine was pleasant enough and though more expensive than pub prices not as expensive as I've paid for similar else where. Booked breakfast the following g morning good choice including full English ,continental and Chinese which WaS interesting and generous. We wee able to leave our bags for the day which was excellent.

functional stay, nothing special

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: good location to my course, easy access. Gym was great to have, used it.
Cons: More personal attention, more caring staff and refurbishment in room, deco very tired.
Location: Restaurants nearby were quite good.
Everything ok. but very impersonal . Deco looks quite tired, especially bathroom. Stayed only one night , concierge service is good. breakfast price is expensive.
