“Nayland hotel Guesthouse good 3 star.”

Nayland Hotel is a good 3 star hotel. Very clean with good service at desk and breakfast. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, Small rooms as you would expect in London at budget end of market. Does not suit staying more than a couple of nights as it would feel too cramped. I would recommend it. for couples and singles.

“Great locale!”

Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Close to good public transportation. We would definitely stay at the Nayland in the future.

“A Charming Hotel”

The staff at the Nayland Hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to help us. The room was small but very clean. The bathroom was small but not too small. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was just OK. The lounge was nice and the drinks were not expensive. The location, a 7 minute walk from Paddington Station, was perfect for us. We used the Heathrow express to get to the hotel and then to return to the Heathrow airport. About as hassle free as it can get. There were some good restaurants within walking distance. The staff made several suggestions that turned out to be really good dining experiences. We would definitely stay there again.

“4 Stars?”

The Nayland hotel was good for what it was, unfortunately it wasn't that much. I expected the rooms and bathroom to be small, so I wasn't too concerned about that. Though a larger person may have some difficulty in the bathroom which has barely enough room to turn around in. There was no air conditioning, and the windows did not have screens so when you opened them you took the chance of letting in bugs. My main concern was with the lack of water pressure. Often times when you turned on the shower nothing would happen, I called down to the front desk and they said to wait ten minutes and try again. You shouldn't have to wait ten minutes and try again for a shower to work at a four star hotel. The location was very close to the Paddington station which was convenient but there wasn't much around the hotel itself. The staff was friendly, but not overly helpful. If you need an iron bring your own or be prepared to give a 25 Pound deposit to use one of the Hotel's. Overall, I would probably look for another place for future visits to London, but for the price that we paid, it wasn't too bad.

“Good location, clean, no frills place to stay.”

The service is lacking, the breakfast choices aren't great and the decor is tacky but it is clean and located centrally in a quiet neighborhood. Given the price, I think it is a good option and I would stay there again.

“Comfortable, Convenient, and Clean”

This hotel was perfect for my 15 year old daughter and myself. We did get the triple room on the advice of other travellers and it was still small by American standards, but comfortable for us. The bathroom is small, but it was fine for a couple of days. The area in Paddington is very central and has lots of great restaurants and cafe's as well as other stores including pharmacy, post-office and souvenirs. On Sussex Gardens there are several blocks of hotels, both sides of the street, and all seem to be comparable. The staff was helpful and nice and we were able to leave our bags for half the day after we checked out, which was very convenient.

“Very good budget hotel near Paddington”

This hotel was located very close to Paddington rail station, which was important for me. My room was small but had all amenities, including a fairly new small bathroom with a pretty good shower. The staff were polite and helpful, and after a brief discussion gave me a very good room, which was not too hot (which would have been a problem for me). Minuses: the breakfast is very basic, so I did not return. The TV does not get any of the BBC stations, or for that matter anything worth watching except for CNN. Otherwise, very good value for money!

“Great location”

Small but quaint hotel centrally located near Paddington station and New Hyde Park. A few blocks from on of the hop on hop off bus tour stops. Great value for what it was and I would recommend it to any budget conscious traveler.
