Cheap for locationPosted Jan 11, 2015
Pros: Location and parking for central London
Location: No complaints
Initial staff member very miserable, put my husband off. Very small room. In basement, window opened into a small enclosed yard all the water pipes must have been located there as running water was heard most of the time. Very hot even in December had air con but ineffective. Breakfast was an appalling set up, cramped and uncomfortable, very basic, didn't bother the second morning.

Two day stay in LondonPosted Oct 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Expect to carry your bags up many narrow stairways, rooms are crowded with too many beds( we had two double and a single that would have been nice with one queensize bed. Shower very small, packages of shampoo--unable to open. Ample towels for two, but the room slept 5, breakfast was included, room very crowded, basic bread, cereal, coffee only and canned fruit cocktail Pricepoint as for a 4 star hotel, but definitely not that quality, location was good

Notting HillPosted Oct 21, 2014
Cons: Poor value. Room was tiny. Never again.
Good location. Clean. Miserable gloomy little room, drab dreary and we only slept there. Could not face even going to the basement for breakfast.

Adequate family hotel in a good locationPosted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: The location, free wifi (which was very quick in our room next door to reception) and the fact that we could get a family room for all of 5 of us.
Cons: Breakfast room too small and massively hot - had to pay for breakfast out both days. Very pricey due to central London location
Location: Midway between Notting Hill Gate and Queensway tube stations, good public parking nearby. Short walk to Hyde Park/Kensington Gardens
This review is inevitably coloured by the fact that hotels in London generally are so expensive. Ultimately The Notting Hill Gate Hotel is a perfectly OK little B&B style hotel. It's nothing fancy, but it does the job - it's just that due to it's prime location, it is ridiculously expensive. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anybody, but just as importantly, I wouldn't say "you must NOT stay there" either. If this hotel is in the right location for you, and it is the best your budget will stretch to (as it was for me) then go for it, it will be fine. But if you can stand to be further out from the centre, or your budget will stretch a little further, then it might just pay off.

Quarto minúsculo, excelente localização e preço.Posted Oct 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
Proximo ap Mercado Porto Belo Road, 10 minutos a pé. Excelente custo benefício.

Good, hotel, no lift... watch outPosted Sep 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was a good hotel, but my room was in the fourth floor and had to carry a huge bag in smal and tiny stairs, go through 5 doors just to get there... They also charge 5 pounds if you leave your bags after 1 pm. Service was good, breakfast was good, very clean, fair for the price. Would recommend it if you have small bags. LOCATION is very good...

Not greatPosted Sep 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel, at the price of a central London chain, was very expensive, and not to have the facilities to get a proper breakfast, was very poor.

Convenient for carnivalPosted Sep 7, 2014
My single room was tiny, must have been a cupboard in a previous life.
