Enjoyable stay, thank you.

Pros: The room was clean and comfortable, overall my stay at the hotel was a very pleasing experience. The breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Just a couple of small points: I would have preferred a showerhead on the wall rather than alongside the bath. Have more drinks in the fridge.
Location: Cable car to the 02 arena was fab.
The staff were helpful with regard to local directions, and polite.

Schönes, modernes Hotel

Posted Jan 12, 2015

Capodanno a Londra

Posted Jan 8, 2015
Pros: Accoglienza e confort

2 lepels, of vloeibaarder jam. Smaak o.k. Handdoeken hergebruiken, prima! Personeel vervangt toch?!
Location: Zie in eerste vak.
Zelf brood afsnijden, knus! Kamer ruim ( kingsize bed), goed bed. Absoluut geen geluidsoverlast van andere kamers.

Nice hotel on Canary Wharf

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is easy to get to from Heathrow International Airport. The DLR is great to travel with.

Novotel London ExCeL

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: It was quiet at nights, and was generally clean, although the hallways smelled like ash trays.
Cons: The air conditioning and water temperature in the shower.
Location: This hotel on the East Docks, a newer development, and is just a three-minute walk from the Royal Victoria station on the DLR (Docks Light Railway).
I booked this trip in a hurry because my mother was in the hospital. Most central London hotels were about $500 more. Although I knew I would have to buy a Travelcard for 2 zones, it was still going to be a lot cheaper to stay at the Docks. The new DLR, which is a sort of an extension to the Underground system has an station about 3 minutes away at Royal Victoria. However, because of extensive engineering work on the Underground railway system, many stations that I needed were closed. This made for detours and longer journeys on the Tube, and in many occasions, cab fares, which of course are extremely pricey in London. SO in the end, I don't think I saved much by choosing this hotel. The hotel itself is a newer structure, as just about everything else at the Docks, but the room was small, the heating did not work (They provided an electric heater), the water temperature in the shower was lukewarm, and the hallways smelled like ash trays. I was supposed to have a room with a double bed and a sofa bed, but instead ended up with a room with just a double bed. I did not eat at the hotel, but looked at the menu and the prices were about 30% more than what you would pay at a restaurant. They offered 24 hour room service. The staff was magnificent. They helped me with finding local restaurants and shops, offered to get me a cab when I needed one, and helped with getting theater tickets.

Great Family Friendly Hotel!

Posted Jan 7, 2015
Pros: Clean rooms, friendly staff, near cafes, restaurants, and tube/metro station.
Cons: Nothing
Location: The main attractions in London are just a couple of metro stops away. The excel arena is next door. There are a few cafes and restaurants nearby.
This hotel was amazing!! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was nice. We had a single queen bed and a sofa bed. The staff pulled the sofa bed out before we checked in and made the bed. The room was clean. The hotel is not very close to all of the sites in London, but it is only 2 blocks from a metro station. Navigating the metro/tube system in London is very easy. The hotel restaurant and bar were awesome. The restaurant was quite fancy!! I recommend a glass of the Chapel Down White wine. The food was wonderful. We had dinner in the restaurant twice and twice we had dinner at the bar. The bar's menu was slightly different from the restaurant. The children loved the hotel. They had a great time. Overall, a fantastic hotel right next to a tube/metro station in London!

Great hotel at the edge of London

Great hotel at the edge of London. easy travelling to the center of London from the nearby DLR stations, clean rooms, good staff and good amenities.
