Stay only if you need to walk to Excel CentrePosted Feb 6, 2014
Pros: Location right next to Excel Center
Cons: Value. Room design. Food.
Location: Nothing at all nearby, except for the Excel Center for exhibitions/trade shows
I was left with little choice about where to stay after my original reservation at another hotel turned out to be 15 train stops from the Conference Center. Novotel Excel was terrific as to its location, but you pay a premium. That said, the room was just plain weird in design, the food was lousy at breakfast, and the bar menu was adequate. The staff was VERY nice and the WiFi was included in the price. I would not stay there again if I could get another hotel in the same area, which I did later that week.

Ok ishPosted Feb 4, 2014
Pros: The reception was fab and staff seemed nice
Cons: More pillows and milk Hate having to ask
Location: Near O2 and Emirates air line which was fab and made my kids stay even more fun
The hotel was lovely but the room was disappointing. We had family room with four pillows one each! Which is not enough for us and no spares left for you if you need them. Tea coffee was there but no milk had to go get some from reception but the could not fine any so go milk jug with cling film on ! Shower smelled funny but looked clean no mould Would stay the again but would not say it was four star

Solid hotel right next to Excel Exhibition CentrePosted Jan 27, 2014
Pros: This hotel is pretty good. Nice big reception area, friendly staff. Didn't eat at the hotel but it looked nice.
Cons: Only strange thing was that in our room the toilet was in a different room from the sink/shower/bath. Never seen that before.
Location: It's slightly off the beaten track so you need to get the tube to Canning Town then the overground DLR train to Royal Victoria (every 15 minutes).
Hotel is right next to the Excel London, never went there but looks like a big exhibition centre. You can walk to the hotel from Canning Town tube stop which takes about 15 minutes. Also the hotel is close to the Emirates Cable Car ride which takes you over the Thames directly to the O2. Don't know how often these cable cars run and how much though. Overall a handy modern hotel for anyone wanting to stay in near the O2, near Excel London or just a bit away from the centre.

Loved this hotel.Posted Jan 3, 2014
Could not fault this hotel! Staff were friendly, excellent location (4minute walk from DLR), room was clean and spacious and overall our stay here was thoroughly enjoyed. Loved the apple computers in the main lobby area too! Not to forget how comfy the beds were! Would definitely stay here again!

Nice business hotelPosted Dec 28, 2013
Location: Conveniently located between two stations and close to conference centre.
Quick drop in visit. The hotel was more than adequate for this but would not stay longer. .

Very pleasant hotel, quiet and modern.Posted Dec 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very happy with the choice of staying here. Clean, modern and quiet. Only negative mention is that it is a little far from the main attractions in London, unless you're either using London City Airport or the ExCel center. Would certainly recommend this to others.
