Plastic charm of Accor hotels

Posted Oct 7, 2014
The hotel is ok, but it has no charm. As most hotels of the French Accor group they have a lot of plastic and cheap furniture. The doors of the separate WC and baths are like carton. If you walk 50 meters you have a beautiful view on Westminster. Accor should redesign their hotels, and for example this one could be much more appealing.

Very comfortable, modern hotel in a good location. Well worth a visit, though clearly not the cheapest option

Very clean and modern rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I had left my iPad behind and they promptly sent it to my home. I would be happy to stay here again if I am ever in the area.

Good location, nice modern hotel

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Location and cleanliness.
Cons: Maybe a few words on how to make the lights work, that took a few minutes to figure out!
Location: Short walk to, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, the Old Vic and Imperial War Museum. Walk to nearest tube station about 6 min.
Hotel is in a great location, quite near Big Ben and the Old Vic. Room was clean and roomy enough for two.

Great location, friendly, helpful staff.

We had a great time in London, this location is close to so many sites of interest. Food costs are a bit steep. Bed didn't work well for us, but may work well for others. (this a very individual thing).

Nice hotel but tiny family rooms....

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Pros: Location Cleanliness
Cons: Tiny family rooms Porters for luggage Fix the luggage scale!
Location: The London Eye Big Ben Westminster Abbey
We stayed at this hotel in August of 2014. The family rooms are small. The couch next to the bed was a fold-away bed. This was enough for our young girls. When both beds were down there was barely any space in front of the desk. The rooms were clean and well kept. There didn't seem to be anyone available to bring our luggage up to our room. We didn't ask anyone for help but in most hotels this is the first thing they offer upon entering the hotel. The scale to weigh our luggage was broken and they didn't offer any other suggestion to solve the problem. The breakfast buffet was good but very crowded. The space seemed a tad small for amount of people at breakfast. There can be a short wait if you don't arrive early. The location of the hotel was great, about a 10 minute walk to the London Eye and maybe 10-15 minutes to Westminister Abbey and Big Ben. Overall, the staff was very nice but the rooms were a little small for us. If you are going to the Eye and Madame Tussards's pay extra for the fast pass. With the passes we had a ten minute wait at both places. The line for Madame Tussard's could be as long as 3 or 4 hours without it, and it rains a lot too so that could be a horribly long wait.

Convenient location

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Location, breakfast, and front desk
Cons: More hangers and drawer space
Location: Short walk to Underground, fifteen minute walk to Big Ben and Westminster Bridge
Reception was very professional and helpful. Short walk to Underground. Lovely walk along the Thames to reach Big Ben, London Eye, and other attractions. Not enough storage for clothing. Rooms are a bit small

Pros: Close to a few London Icon
Cons: none
Location: Walking distance to The Eye, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey. You can literally walk around if you like walking
We have a good stay in the hotel. The breakfast is a bit boring.
