My Only Hotel Choice in London in FuturePosted Nov 8, 2013
Everything about this hotel is perfect. Location is ideal, rooms are comfortable and spacious with every amenity you could want. The staff is warm & friendly and service is the best I have experienced in some time - they anticipate your needs before you ask. This will be my first choice hotel while in London in the future.

Absolutely excellent!Posted Oct 29, 2013
Location: My wife and I are walkers so everything was within walking distance. Half way between Tower Bridge and Buckingham Palace smack in the middle of Regent
Fantastic hotel. Location perfect. Staff helpful. Room a tad small but pristine. Health facility great. No problem with the green water system. Couldn't have been happier.

Lacks 5-star classPosted Oct 14, 2013
Pros: The staff.
Cons: Bathrooms. Car drop-off arrangements. The restaurant.
Location: Covent Garden -- very, very convenient to see the opera!
Certainly, the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Whether this is really top-notch hotel is another matter. Some features of the room were very good indeed; bed comfort, lighting, window furniture. However, some things didn't really gel: the shower was really rather poor and cheap in quality (the last hotel of quality I stayed in was the Charles in Munich where the facilities were sublime), as were some other features of the bathroom. The drainage arrangements were (or sounded) rather primitive. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was really rather good, but hardly better than Cote just around the corner and for roughy double the price. All a bit ordinary, whereas I expected something a bit extra-ordinary. Unloading the car was a bit fraught; you're surrounded by buses (with not-always understanding drivers).

I want to come back!!!Posted Sep 26, 2013
Pros: The cleanliness and the attention to detail given by the staff. Bathrooms were spotless and everything in working order and nothing was missing.
Cons: Absolutely nothing!!
Location: The location was ideal. Underground and bus services were all within walking distance. Also, it is situated right in the center of things.
I had the most wonderful stay at this hotel. The facilities were the very best but the attention given by the staff was completely "over the top". Fresh flowers every day, fruit at night plus and the attention to detail and cleanliness of the rooms could not have been better. Simply wonderful. All of the staff were eager to help and went out of their way to be helpful. A truly wonderful experience to receive such treatment.

One AldwychPosted Sep 23, 2013
Pros: I love its green credentials and the effort that they have made in this arena. The vegetarian breakfasts are awesome!
Cons: See above.
Location: Excellent location, close to the City for business travellers and right next to Covent Garden for anyone wanting good shops, theatres and cinema.
This was my second stay at the hotel and I must confess to being a little bit disappointed after having enjoyed it so much the first time around. Generally speaking I got the impression that the hotel was much busier than the last time I stayed and as a result, things weren't quite as slick as they were first time. I had to struggle up the front steps of the hotel in the rain with my luggage as no one came out to help me from my taxi and then at reception, I was asked to complete all of the new guest information again, despite having stayed at the hotel less than 3 weeks prior to this visit. I was in a standard room this time which is quite small although it was very comfortable and clean. I ate in Indigo restaurant twice during my stay and the food was excellent. I asked for a table to have coffee in the lobby bar at 11am and was told that I could only have it for 2 hours which was ok as we were eating lunch at Indigo but seemed a bit off for a guest in the hotel at a time that the bar was otherwise pretty much deserted.

Outstanding hotel and staffPosted Sep 3, 2013
Pros: The hotel itself is beautiful inside and out. The room was a little small by our (U.S.) standards, but it was clean, modern, and luxurious.
Cons: The only issue we had was with the lights in our room. The lights in the minibar and closet would stay on even when we shut everything off.
Location: The hotel's location in the heart of London was ideal for getting around, and was close to many fine restaurants and shows.
From check-in to check-out, the staff took care of our every need. The woman who showed us to our room took the time to walk through it to make sure we understood how everything worked. The concierge did a wonderful job helping us navigate London as well as recommending restaurants. The cafe wait staff accommodated my need for pillows for my chair.

Lovely quiet hotel central WestminsterPosted Aug 28, 2013
Pros: Location, quiet, beautiful room, helpful staff
The Aldwych is handily located in central Westminster, close to trains and the river. It was very quiet, which I was relieved about as had worried about noise before we went. The hotel staff were beautifully mannered and very helpful. I'm going back to London next week so will stay at the Aldwych again.

Excellent hotel in a central locationPosted Aug 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is an excellent hotel in a central location. The pool/health club an added bonus: Check out the music when you swim underwater. We did not have breakfast at the hotel (like many hotels, breakfast is wildly overpriced) -- but there are so many places nearby this is a minor issue. . Would definitely return.
