Not what American tourists are accustomed toPosted Sep 16, 2014
Pros: Quiet, conveniently located, clean.
Cons: Shower doors!! Washcloths in the bathroom, two pillows per guest, a top sheet.
Location: It is super close to the waterloo underground station which makes it easy to hop on. Also very close to the London eye and breakfast places.
I want to start out by saying that the hotel was nice and quiet and conveniently located by the Waterloo station and underground stop. I would not have a problem staying there if I go to London again. As an American tourist traveling with my Mother who had never been out of the country, I wanted to provide some information to American's who might be surprised by some details. First off, we had a room with two twin beds and were quite surprised at the fact that the twin beds were pushed together with no space in between and only a few feet of room on either side of them. Second, they did not have a top sheet. It was just a fitted sheet and a comforter on top which made it difficult to control your comfort when sleeping. Also each bed only had one pillow, where American hotels typically provide two. The window for our room looked out into an interior courtyard instead of outside, so we had no idea what the weather was like before venturing out. The bathroom is probably the most shocking. It was incredibly small, only had a glass sliding door which provided almost no privacy and the toilet was right in front of the door. The shower was by far the worst amenity as it did not have any sort of door to stop the water from going all over the bathroom. Even by turning the nozzle toward the wall, water still splashed out everywhere and soaked the bathroom. Also no washcloths for some reason. I just wanted to provide some information for first time American tourists.

Beautiful hotel, great location, amazing staff!Posted Sep 10, 2014
Thank you for an amazing stay. Beautiful hotel, great location with easy access to transit. But more importantly your staff is top notch! Always welcoming, joining in conversation, and looking to offer help. Was pleasantly surprised upon check in to find out we had been upgraded - I presume because we were a family and needed a little extra space. Very children friendly - and a nice little chocolate surprise upon return from a day trip to find a special treat left for the kids to enjoy. Restaurant staff were pleasant as well, although service at times felt a little slow. Overall, glad I selected this hotel thanks to the recommendations and should we return to London, we'll consider booking here again!

Perfect Location for a short visit to LondonPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Perfect Location for a short visit to London for pleasure and for business. Late check out 12 pm.
Location: The hotel is only a 2 min. walk away from the London Eye, the London Aquarium and the Bus Stop for the London Bus Tour.
We liked: Excellent Hotel facilities, delicious all-you-can eat Breakfast with the choice of Full English or Continental Breakfast, helpful and friendly staff. We didn't like: Our room had no outside view, very dark, the curtains needed to be closed all time. We only stayed one night so this was no big problem. But when booking again, we will only book a room with a outside view.

Very disapointedPosted Sep 1, 2014
Beds were SHOCKING. The most uncomfortable two nights. Hard stiff thin old mattress. The pull out sofa bed has bars which can be felt and cause severe back ache. The so-called city view (that was a selling factor in the website using a panoramic view evidently taken from another hotel) was actually Waterloo train station with a few spires in the distance. The graffiti added that extra ambiance.

Fantastic hotel: stone's throw from the south banPosted Sep 1, 2014
My husband, daughter and i stayed at this hotel for one night, after my brother's wedding at the south bank centre. We couldn't fault it!we'd got a reduced rate 10 days before so weren't expecting much. We were more than pleasantly surprised that our requested early check in was available, the travel cot was clean and set up, we had floor to ceiling windows on 2 sides, with great views, an amazing shower, and an even better breakfast. Would highly recommend!

Great LocationPosted Sep 1, 2014
Location: Great location minutes from the London Eye and Aquarium and a short walk over Westminster Bridge to Big Ben and Houses of Parliament.
Stayed with our grandaughter in a Studio room who was very excited to see Big Ben and the London Eye from our window. Studio rooms are ideal for families with tea/coffee making facilities, fridge and microwave and very comfy beds. Great location and reception staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotelPosted Aug 24, 2014
Nice hotel was dissapointed that there wasnt a pool, also we went into the park plaza westminster by mistake which is next door and this was a top class hotel and when you go into the county hall park plaza you can see the differance beds were to low and hard and poor quality pillows the room was good with a small kitchen which ment you can keep costs down by heating your own food if on a budget our room overlookd waterlo station but the glazing is very good and you cant hear the trains good location for westminter and river and london eye bit over priced but then again london very expensive i would rate hotel 3 not 4 star hotel
