Brilliant room, fantastic helpful staff, ideal.

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Situated in ideal location for everything. Friendly, helpful staff. super room.
Cons: Nothing as far as we were concerned.
Location: River taxis, London Eye, Tube stations nearby, bus into center of London.
My friend & I were going to the Longines Global Championship Tour held at Horse Guards and even though my son lives in London, unfortunately his house is being refurbished so he suggested the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel. Our stay there exeeded expectations, it was super and we would recommend to anyone who wants a lovely hotel, superb location and a river view room overlooking the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. Good hotel for Westminster and south bank.

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Stayed at the hotel for a wedding reception but also used it to visit London land marks I.e. London eye and Westminster abbey which were in walking distance of the hotel. Our room had a lovely view of the Thames and in particular the houses of parliament and big Ben. When we arrived our room was not quite ready so we given complimentary drinks while we waited for a few minutes and the staff were very attentive and helpful.

Glad we chose this hotel

Posted Aug 7, 2014
Pros: The room was super comfortable. We slept well every night.
Cons: Construction noises during the day were distracting if you needed to nap.
Location: Close to London Eye, Westminister and the stop for the Hop on Hop Off Bus.
This was a great location. We could walk easily to the London Eye, Westminster and Trafalgar Square. The walk along the riverbank was always enjoyable.

Close to places of interest

Posted Aug 2, 2014
Pros: Convenient position
Cons: Very hard to contact, staff not very friendly
Location: Houses of parliamen, big ben westminster abbey
Couldn't contact the hotel when our flight plans were altered just hours before we were due to take off, consequently losing our nights payment and no sympathy from the hotel. cut my leg on the sharp wooden edge of their silly beds and no 1st. aid help.

Pros: Very well priced given facilities and location
Perfect location of a stay in London. Rooms are quiet and clean and everything is within walking distance. We overlooked a building site but still could see the thames

Convenient location

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: See above & warning of building work
Location: See above
Walking distance to southbank & vauxhall tube station. However loads of building work next door - road closed because of crane in front of hotel. No daylight in room at all because of building work. Room typical hotel style & nice bathroom. No soap. No reading lights by bed.

Well situated hotel, but staff are unhelpful.

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Its location, and nice size rooms.
Cons: Staff could be more helpful.
Have stayed here previously, but there seems to have been some change, and the hotel has been split in two. The premium section is staffed by persons who are not particularly helpful. Room was dark even in daytime, as there was cover over the atrium which effectively blocked daylight from the room, even when the blinds were open. At a breakfast meeting in the ground floor restaurant, a woman at a nearby table was accompanied by 3 very loud and disruptive children. When I asked staff to ask that group to be a little quieter, they not only declined to do so, but acted as though I were some sort of ogre for asking it. I was not offered another table farther away, so my guest and I left early to conduct our discussion elsewhere.

Building work and train line problems

Posted Jul 17, 2014
The hotel has a grand entrance And friendly staff. The rooms were clean. It was disappointing to find that the hotel is in next to a large building development, outside our window we had a builders elevator in constant use, also drills and cranes. This was in addition to our train line backing onto a busy railway line. Luckily we didn't have to spend much time in our room

Good Location. Room could do with some attention.

From outside and the lobby the hotel looks lovely. The rooms need attention. Worn carpets. Basic bedding. Disappointed breakfast
