Good location for London Eye Big Ben etc

Posted Feb 28, 2015
The hotel inside and staff were excellent but external building works and road closure did spoil the experience.

Dreadful.

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Not much.
Cons: Plan your bookings and be prepared to refund for problems without condition.
Location: Further from the South Bank than we expected.
A wedding party on the same floor as our room kept us awake ALL night, despite a promise to quieten it down. The room was cold. No help to rectify it. We looked out on a building site. We weren't warned about that.

Well located hotel but noisy

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: Good size comfortable room, courteous staff and good breakfast.
Cons: Room needs far better double glazing to keep out noise fromk adjacent construction site and particularly the rail line to the rear.
Location: Great location overlooking the River Thames. Short walk to Westminster and The Tate and not far from London's West End.
I have stayed here before. Generally good hotel with comfortable, well equipped rooms. Staff courteous and helpful. However room adjacent to construction works with rail line to the rear was extremely noisy until late at night and early in the morning. Buffet style breakfast excellent with good range of food on offer. Bar/restaurant food also excellent.

Not great...

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: The restaurant, general standard of room.
Cons: Explaining hotel offers at check-in, the breakfast experience and cost, decor in some parts of the hotel needs touching up.
Location: Between Vauxhall and Westminster bridges, tube stations in easy reach. All the main sights in central London are accessible.
Check-in was confusing, breakfast on the first morning was frantic and poorly organized, a concierge said he'd call our room with taxi details but didn't, we arrived back to our room after 5pm one day to find someone fixing a fitting in the shower (which was fine by us). There was minimal mess but we were told housekeeping would come clean it up; no-one came. There was a constant, low whirring noise during the night behind a higher pitched noise from the air conditioning. Work on the building site next door started at 8am on a Saturday and earlier in the week, but noise isn't excessive and the hotel can hardly be blamed for any disruption. However, we had a superb meal in the hotel restaurant with good service, the room was clean and the tube and Westminster were only a short walk away.

Really nice hotel

The only downfall was the temperature in the room could only be controlled by a loud fan and was no use at making the temperature at all cooler.

Excellent location, close to underground

Posted Feb 13, 2015
Pros: Very modern and lovely pleasant staff
Cons: Timing of our stay due to building works
Location: Location was good and underground very close by, so easy to get around.
Lovely hotel but spoilt by building works, which caused trouble finding it. Our room was situated on the 10th floor and building works started around 10am, which was ok as we were out throughout the day but very noisy when we came back early for a rest. Staff didn't advise us of this when checking in.

Expensive and not worth it

Posted Feb 9, 2015
Television kept freezing and cutting out and cleaners come in to room despite there being a do not disturb sign hanging outside! Even worse only decaf in room! Appalling!

Disappointed

Posted Feb 6, 2015
Cons: better maintenance and new carpets.
Very disappointed with the hotel. I had to move room twice due to faults in the room(s). First time was due to water leak and I was asked to move. The second time was due to faulty heating. The hotel has building works going on both sides and is very noisy. Staff did not seem to care that it ruined my evening.
