Nobody told us it is a building site.

Posted Jul 28, 2015
Would be a good place to stay if it wasn't for the building works on top of the hotel as well as next door. Jack hammers going all day. Although we extended our stay several months earlier, they still checked us out on the original date and charged us for minibar drinks we did not use. They then remotely locked the fridge so we couldn't get to our own food, even though we were actually in the room. When we spoke to Them about this they were quite rude and promised to refund the money. Have not received it yet.

nice hotel

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Very nice room.
Cons: Cleaner carpets, Lowe prices in bar.
Nice hotel, about twenty minutes walk to Westminster Bridge from which everything can easily be reached. The room was clean except for the carpets. The carpets in the hallways were also in dire need of a cleaning. Prices in the bar ver expensive but a nice little pub called "the Rose" is only a two minute walk away and much cheaper.

book somewhere else.

There is a serious amount of construction work going on in and around the hotel. Not so much of a problem as we stayed on a Saturday but the pictures are not accurate. The staff were rude, misleading and didn't make me feel like I was staying in a "world class hotel" the food is good for the price but if you want well mannered staff and luxurious surroundings, look elsewhere.

Good location, good facilities

Good central location on the south bank of the river. No natural light into the room which was stylish but looking a bit tired.

Out of the way for getting to and from airport

Posted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Second room was very clean. Hotel staff very friendly
Cons: Warning about the construction and maybe free breakfast to compensate for it
Location: Walking distance to the hop on hop off bus which will take you to all tourist spots. Hotel also gets tour bus pick up services.
When we first got to the hotel, 6:00 am they said come back in a couple hours and they stored our luggage. We came back at 10 and they gave us an inner room on 5th floor. It was dirty and stuffy. We requested a room with a partial river view..they said one would be ready by 3:00 and we were able to stay in our room until then. This was very welcome as it was 3 am our time. The new room was on sixth floor. Much cleaner. It was great until 6 am when the construction started. They could have warned us.

The hotel was close to the London Eye. There was some construction noise we could hear and the view was horrible but the hotel was nice.

Renovations spoilt our stay

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: The room layout and staff
Cons: Inform customers before they arrive, of the construction problems and maybe reduce the prices as a form of compensation
Location: Great location
As keen photographers, we asked for and paid for a room with a view of the Thames only to find we could not take pictures because of dirty windows and an extra screening to protect the window from construction on the roof which was impossible to photograph through. Secondly, at about 9.30am drilling and building on the roof meant we could not even hear the TV and checkout was not until 12:00. We ended up checking out at 11:00 just to escape the noise. No compensation was offered, just apologies.
