Could do betterPosted Nov 4, 2013
If you want somewhere convenient for Camden and the Roundhouse this is perfect. It's a short walk away in a quiet street. But someone else reported that this landlady is making a transition from paid lodger to proper b&b and they are right because it's certainly a work in progress. Too many corners are being cut and althought the room was OK it wasn't worth the money. Looking around the room too many litle things were in the wrong place or broken. Not so much that it warrants a big negative but they are things that could so easily be put right with a little thought and effort. However, the breakfast is a major problem. It is just too disorganised and some of the basic elements (like fresh fruit) were simply absent. If you are willing to pay a bit extra I'd recommend not bothering and taking breakfast at the upmarket coffee house on the corner where the food and service are first class.

Great locationPosted Oct 11, 2013
Pros: Location, area.
Cons: The ensuite bathroom wasn't really separated from the bedroom - the folding door was very thin and difficult to close, so there wasn't much privacy.
Location: Didn't see as much of the area as would have liked- nice looking pubs but shut very early.
Really lovely location in quiet residential area, close to the tube and from there a very quick journey into central London. The photos on Expedia are perhaps a little on the generous side - the actual building and room didn't quite meet my expectations. The lady who ran it was very friendly though, and made us breakfast.

Good value place to rest your head in NW LondonPosted Sep 28, 2013
I was stuck at the last minute for a place to stay in London and decided to head NW for cheaper options. The Primrose Guest House was a surprisingly pleasant stay. Often guest houses priced at this level in London can be terrible, and yet the rooms were clean, the communication was easy, and the host was delightful. I am not normally a morning person but breakfast is incredibly important to me (especially good eggs and bacon). And it was a good breakfast with good company. If you are looking for luxury then this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a simple place to stay at a reasonable price in this area then this will be a good option.

Pros: Walking distance to Camden and in a very nice safe area
Ideally situated for Camden where we were heading to. Comfortable guest house, nice sized room and made to feel very welcome by Lekha, she`s a lovely lady and makes a mighty fine breakfast. Would definitely stop again.

Welcoming HostPosted Sep 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
This is a very good bed and breakfast in an excellent location. 10 minute stroll to Belsize Park tube station, 15 minutes to Camden Town. The landlady is making the transition from lodger landlady to B&B landlady, but she was very welcoming. We asked to change rooms because we wanted a double instead of twin beds and she sorted it with no fuss. Breakfast was freshly cooked and there was a bottle of water in the room - something which normally costs extra in more expensive hotels. I would use it again for a similar stay.

Ideal for Primrose Hill, Hampstead Heath, Kenwood and you can even walk home from the West End if you miss the last tube. The house is without frills, but none the worse for that, and the breakfasts very good.
